Fire coburn into the sun. Worst islanders D of the last decade. It feels like the isles just signed some 6’5 guy from the local beer league.

I know trotz said he’s trying to rest guys, but it’s more important for the group to develop chemistry. No chance this lineup would have gotten outplayed by the devils. You’re not going to win many games with coburn, zajac, johnston, and clutterbuck in the lineup at the same time

Zajac should just retire - the guy is toast. You could tell he was struggling to keep up.

To be fair, palmieri is a guy that needs to play with a playmaker to be successful and tonight was the first time he played with barzal. It’s more important to put him in a position to succeed because he can increase the isles ceiling with his skillset.

Zajac had some of the worst underlying numbers on the devils and was just on a shooting bender. He got lucky and was bound to regress. He’s at best a 4th line C who shouldn’t get more than 6-7 min of ice time.
