Did this one for fun...and as a sad exercise as a Sens fan. Wanted to make it cap-compliant, which meant losing players like Bishop and Duchene for efficiency's sake (Duchene and his terrible contract makes keeping some other players difficult).
Perhaps the D is too thin for a Stanley Cup team, but lets not forget Karlsson almost took us to the finals singlehandedly, and would have less work with Chabot on the second pairing (Don't think they could play together their play styles are too similar).
Also out of recency bias it was hard not to keep our incredibly solid young trio together on the third line. Norris is already a solid two-way center with more upside I think than Pageau, and the two wingers are great offensive weapons.
Finally, I think this is a super underrated goalie duo. I still can't believe we let Driedger and Lehner go so fast I can only imagine what we'd be like today if we stayed with them.
Yes. He should get plenty of ice time because we traded him away so he could get ice time.
I know I totally agree..not to mention the fact that if we'd played him in the Conf. Finals OT (f u Boucher) we might have gotten another Dzingel hero moment. Playoff God
