Wheeler has been a 5v5 liability so far. Protecting him with Lowry and Perreault will help stop the +/- bleeding. Maybe if he's only getting 15 minutes a night, he can keep his feet moving. I agree with the demotion but this does leave the Jets without true a shutdown line.

I agree 26 hasn’t been himself, but the whole point of moving Laine was that Wheeler had to be 1RW with Scheif. And Stanley has been excellent in the couple games I saw, he’s using his stick, his size, and he’s leading all Jets D in shots. If anything I’d give him a shot next to Pionk on the second pair

That's my thought as well. Maybe he's best suited to be a 15-17 mpg guy? He'll give 110% in the time given, not just expect 20 plus.
I do think it's a bit of a culture change for the jets...Maurice needs to have a "play your best or you're sitting" mentality. Lots of young guys on this team are begging for more ice time
