I think the Leafs are probably trying to move Holl but have no takers and they don't want to put him on waivers because they might need him and or Dermott for depth. I'm sure injuries are gonna be an issue as apparently there will be a lot of back to back games to squeeze in. I thought NJ would've been a destination for Holl but I'm guessing they weren't interested as the Leafs probably would have included him in a trade with Johnsson. If Weegar gets awarded a big contract I can see the Leafs maybe packaging a deal with Holl and Dermott but i feel Dermott has more potential and is injured less often than Weegar so I'd prefer to keep Dermott and see how he performs. I see the Leafs getting Dermott to sign a low 1 yr contract, see how he does, then go from there. He would be eligible for arbitration after next season so the Leafs can buy some time with him. Unfortunately the only D with waiver exemption, other than Sandin and Lilegren, is Lehtonen but I can't see him coming over and playing in the minors. Plus he's leading his team in scoring in the KHL so there seems to be alot of upside there. Will be interesting to see what Dubas does. They've not had this many decent D men for a long time.
