Description
Trade Explanation:

Arizona Trade:
The Coyotes need cap space to resign Taylor Hall and draft picks/prospects to make up for the fact that they lost a 2020 2nd Rounder and a 2021 1st on top of not having their 2020 1st due to the Taylor Hall trade. The Sabres would be getting their 2nd line center and a solid defender in this trade. The compensation is similar to the J.T Miller trade last summer. Mittelstadt would be a cheap player for a Coyotes team that spent up to the cap last season.

Montreal:
Ristolainen has been rumored to be traded out of Buffalo for over a year now and it seems now he would welcome a trade. Drouin is a player that needs the same type of change in his career. Both players have glaring holes in their games and well defined strengths. A one for one trade in this scenario seems fair.

Edmonton:
It's no secret that Jesse Puljujarvi wanted out of Edmonton last summer and he refused to play in the NHL last year for them. Brandon Montour is a talented defender, however, the GM that traded for him was fired and his spot in the organization has been filled by Henri Jokiharju. This is a relatively even trade in my eyes as both teams improve in this scenario.

Draft (Using DraftProspectsHockey.com Simulator)

2. Quinton Byfield
3. Tim Stuzle
4. Cole Perfetti
5. Jamie Drysdale
6. Lucas Raymond
7. Alexander Holtz

8. Marco Rossi. C: Best Player availible at this spot, has the potential to play in the NHL next season, however in this scenario he would be returned to the OHL.
38. Jean-Luc Foudy, C: when drafting in the 2nd Round and later, finding a player with an elite skill already should be a priority. To me, he and Antonio Stranges are the two best skaters in this draft. With this pick, you hope he develops the rest of his game in a similar style to his brother in Columbus.
99. Tristen Robins, RW: Very talented player in the WHL, he plays a skilled game while having an edge. He has an opportunity to play at the NHL at some point and in the 4th round, that is about the best you can hope for.
192. Alex Jefferies, LW: Alex Jefferies is a long shot to make the NHL, however in the 7th Round getting a player with upside should be a priority.
209. Lassi Lehtinen, G: Lassi Lehtinen is one of the oldest players in this draft, but goalies develop a different delevopment curve than skaters. He had an extremely impressive season in Liiga putting up a .922 Save % as a 20 year old in his D+2 season.

We give too much to Arizona IMO since Hjalmarsson is an UFA at the end of the year but if it's what it takes to get Dvorak I wouldprobably do it

I literally hate the latter two trades.

Drouin is a soft player who when not actually putting up points is borderline useless altogether.

Poolparty is less like a water park and more like a kiddie pool at this point so not thanks

The 1st trade is the closest but I'd have a terribly hard time giving up a 1st and Mitts for a guy with a career high of 38 pts. Perhaps a 2nd that can turn into a lottery protected 1st if he gets over 50 pts next year.

Take the one draft simulation where Rossi slides to 8 lmao.

Detroit would be dumb to take Perfetti over Rossi.
