BOS is nowhere near that desperate to get rid of Moore. His cap hit is not a huge burden, so they can bury him in the minors if they have to. That Sutter trade is also terrible for BOS. Sutter is washed up; Ritchie is younger and better. In fact, if you don't do the Sutter trade, it lessens the need to get rid of Moore that much more.

Krug's contract is about what I'd expect him to get, unfortunately for whichever team signs him. DeBrusk would probably take that contract if it was 2018-19, but very few RFA contracts end up like that nowadays. I do love that Grzelcyk deal, though; I hope he'd be willing to take the hometown discount!

Basically, the contracts are pretty good, but the trades are not good.

I would be surprised if chara retired. He hasn’t looked great since coming back, but that’s true of a lot of old guys. No chance a team in the bruins position is going to take on a contract like sutter. I think Grzelcyk likely gets more, and i really can’t see studnicka down on the fourth line.

with Halak as starter?

Why would Vancouver make that trade ? Rest of the contracts are fine.
