strome been to good to put him on the 3rd line. they probably should sell high on him cause now he is complicating things to much. Rykov wasn't that good in the small action he had in the preseason. who knows if he can handle the nhl right now, he been playing in a big rink for years. best to get him in hartford learning the system. Hájek hasn't been good lately but he had a lot of good games. it isn't time to give up on him. it's ok if he doesn't play well this season, the team doesn't have a lot of options on LD.

Agreed just Hajek has been brutal recently and I’d love a fresh face to play with ADA (not Staal)...

hajek is never going to put up points in the league. he is shaping to be a solid defenseman, has a good first pass, moves up the ice well and is learning to become a shutdown d. shutdown d take a lot longer to mature. he is only 21, he'll need a couple of seasons. i think he'll be a lot better next season. he needs to get on the pk to have more value on this team, he hasn't been very good. but our pk been struggling under ruff. if he ends up becoming a solid shut down 3rd pairing d i'll take that as a win.
