This is as bad if not worse. Shaw is nothing. Rask probably takes a first round pick just to get rid of him. Literally add a first, and get rid of the second coming back from Ottawa, and you’re still probably short.

shaw is not nothing, he is hurt coming off of two major injuries. still rated very highly in minnesota prospect pool, and performs well when healthy. JG is a rental on a similar contract with rask, but only difference is expiration

Saying that JPG is on a similar contract to Victor Rask is utterly absurd. Rask has one of the worst contracts in the league. 4 million a year for 3 years for a guy that might get sent to the AHL. Pageau has like 2 million left on his deal. Rask has what? 10.5? It’s a joke of an offer. For JGP and a 2nd, add two firsts on the minnesota side to get it accepted.
