Chara's days are over. his cap hit is too much for the bruins as well as his speedy declined play. dennis seidenberg also needs to go. david krejci could (if the right trade was made available) would be a very valuable trade asset. the signings of demers, hamius and goligoski make sense as they need to bolster their d core again. matt martin is the typical "big bad bruin". getting the rights to girgensons would be a stretch but wold make sense to fill the 3rd line center role, as well as give them the option to trade krejci.

    You didn't upgrade the team at all, and you moved a lot of good young assets in the process. That Girgensons deal is rough. Am I missing something on Zemgus? A big center who thus far has put up a little better than 4th line numbers. You want to trade a top defensive prospect, a good forward prospect and a 2nd? Adding Cehlarik is meh. We don't even know what he can do over here.

    That Arizona deal is just as rough as the Buffalo deal. Nick Merkley had a terrible year, he went backwards. You want to move one of our top forward prospects and our #1 defenseman (whether you like it or not) for him (Merkley) and rights to a UFA?

    Yeah, you clearly missed the boat with this one.
