Cat gets Namestnikov and Eakin's money. Strome gets Crawford's money.

Small salaries come up. Lankinen replaces Crawford. Dach replaces Eakin. Dahlstrom replaces Keokkeok. The other free agents are cheap to resign or replace.

Youre setting the precedent for DeBrincat's salary with Tkachuk, Strome gets Crawford's money so thats at least 16 mill there. I forgot to factor in the cap going up so that leaves Chicago with about 4 mill to fill 7 spots

OK let's say Cat does get 10 mil. Then you trade Strome's RFA rights. You can bring back Eakin or find a cheaper option in free agency.

In that scenario it sucks to lose Strome, but you will get compensation for him. And you have Cat, Tkachuk, Kane, and Toews!
