Description
Assuming the cap doesn't change, Hertl takes a hometown discounted 'bridge' contract with the understanding that he will get paid when the old guys' contracts expire. With Boedker in the top 6, DeBoer can use Marleau/Ward when he wants instead of when he needs. Dillon is a possession sinkhole and SJ needs to get rid of him. Philly has done a great job reviving the careers of D men who were in much more dire straits than Dillon, and so SJ attaches Dillon, Nieto, and a pick for Raffl and a higher pick.
