Puljujarvi is not worth anything near that and it will take a lot more than a late first rounder (18-22 overall) and a bottom 6 forward to get Trouba. Neither Buchnievich nor NY would be too fond of that contract and Duchene most likely won’t come to NY. You also overplayed him by 1-1.5 million dollars so...

This was my first stab at this, The Puljujarvi deal was more of a cap dump for Smith and he is still young enough to make some noise...Maybe the Rangers could sweeten the Pot for Trouba as per the rumors here in Winnipeg he is as good as gone...and finally 10 Mill for Duchene is fair IMO as that's what it would take to get him here! The Rangers have been lacking high quality centers for years and Duchene could/would light it up playing with Prospect studs like Kravtsov and Kakko! What do you think a Buchnevich contact would look like?

18-22 isnt considered a late rounded pick thats mid round but i agree nonetheless that isnt enough for trouba currently even if his playoffs lowered his value. I could see pionk and krieder straight up for trouba work.

In terms of value, yes. However Winnipeg has wingers and would not need Kreider, therefore making that trade impossible
