Description

There's been alot of Agms that look to aquire Petro, Ferland, and Jensen. Maybe we get all three, but not til the summer..

Borrowed the Petro/Nylander trade from Juice. Trade happens after Nylander is paid and his cap hit drops back to 6.9 M. Jensen and Ferland signed as UFAs. Really, I dont think Jensen is needed if the Leafs get Petro, Oz could fill the third pairing out.. and then there's no need to trade Brown..

Marleau retires after July 1st..

If Marleau retires his cap hit of 6.25 million goes back towards the Leafs cap. He was signed to his present contract after he was 35 years old. Under the CBA, if a player retires with the situation his cap hit goes back to the team that signed him.

Sorry, but he is not retiring or be traded, he holds his own destiny and the Leafs can not afford for him to retire.

Marleau absolutely holds the cards and his destiny. He could very well decide to retire, that would be his choice, and one that all athletes make at some point. If he does retire, his contract can be traded, what the value of that is in a trade, I don't really know
