Come on now….
Just bc Krebs can’t win faceoffs, it doesn’t mean he can’t be a useful player</div></div>
3c is a trouble spot for our team. Thompson is awful defensively, and cozens doesn't play awesome in his own end either (still hopeful though). That means there isn't much to lean on from the top two lines. So if Krebs can't take the job and own it, how much time do you give him? I'm not blaming Krebs for 13 years of no playoffs, but next year can't be hoping that he can play an important role. Hope is not a plan.

I don't mind the podcast. It doesn't sound like state sponsored radio. Kinda wish he'd have guests on though, somebody like Travis Yost or Chris baker would be cool.

But that’s just your opinion & not necessarily the opinion of Adams
Why doesn’t make ANY SENSE at all,

ESPECIALLY one who isn’t that good
Plus, we are loaded with forwards coming up soon
There’s ZERO CHANCE a trade like this happens</div></div>
I agree, we don't need any more undersized skill players. I would like to point out, if you don't listen, the locked on sabres podcast was just saying that, statistically, the Byram jokiharju pair has been the worst defensive pair in the league. I don't want 6 puck movers, I want a few guys that make our zone a scary place for the other team. You can say that adams wouldn't agree, and you'd probably be right, but the ice that adams is skating on is getting thinner by the day.

2- BUT, Krebs isn’t “broken” anyways</div></div>
Look, I defended Krebs for a long time. I said "maybe he will be a good two way player, with grit, and a bottom 6 center that does that could help us win". Moving mittelstadt gave him his chance to show what he can do, and he didn't do much with it. We still need a 3c that can take d zone starts and win draws, and if he can't do it, like now, I would definitely look at what we could get for him. I don't know if we could get a second for him, but if we could, I would take that second and go shopping for stuff to fix this roster.

Bigger Wings
The Sabres are so physically and mentally soft that virtually any move needs to address these problems, unless the talent is just way too good to pass up. The Sabres few players that provide these traits- tuch, cozens, Greenway, and dahlin- I would have them just off the table completely.

Uh, sure. It's basically Ehlers as a full year rental, and stanley as a depth d option. I don't think stanley is very good, but he's big and physical, which sounds just fine as a depth option.

Sabres hard reset if Kevyn is forced to make changes
I'm really hoping they don't bring back girgensons. I know he's not terrible, he's a perfectly fine fourth liner, I just, let it be over, we've won absolutely nothing since we drafted him, let's try to get some different voices in the room.

Sabres D shakeup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MoxNix</b></div><div>Calgary declines.
That'd be closer but another small forward like Rosen isn't what Conroy is looking for in players/prospects.
I'm not sure about Samuelsson either, I like his size and age but don't know much about him. His penalty minutes are really low for such a big guy which implies he doesn't use his size to be physical. He's on a long contract at an odd AAV, very high for 3rd pair but quite low for top 4 so unless we're quite certain he's good enough to be a regular in the top 4 for the next 6 years I'd pass on him.</div></div>
Oh he's not physical. If you look at his scouting report on here, it says he is, but he's not. Long reach, good stick.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SpiderSpiderSpider28</b></div><div>Buffalo has Peterka, Quinn and Byram to extend after this season and are starting to run out of money. If they're going to add another impact player it probably shouldn't be a smaller winger.
Also not crazy over the Minnesota trade, I would venture to guess I watched more Khusnutdinov than 99% of people this past season and am pretty confident in saying he won't be an impact NHL player</div></div>
Buffalo has a skilled group of forwards that is both physically and mentally soft. Tk is small, but he doesn't play small. I think questioning how he will hold up at his size, given his style of play is perfectly reasonable, but if you want a winner, it might be worth the risk. Just adding talentless grit to the 4th line does nothing.

I would say hard no. The Sabres are a skilled group that is both physically and mentally soft- these additions don't address any needs. Kyrou is obviously a nice player, no shade intended, he should get something nice back, but this isn't what Buffalo is missing.

Not a fan of these moves. Foligno is interesting depending on cost, but I'd skip the d, we already have puck movers, we need a different skill set.

That backend is disgusting.
This definitely makes them a better team.
What do you do about coaching??</div></div>
I think granato stays. Our owner can't get out of his own way, when it comes to the Sabres. When he bought the team, he threw money around without a second thought, but he's become more conservative with the Sabres the last few years. Granato has a three year contract that hasn't started yet, pegula wants the Sabres to be a lean operation. I think what's likely is granato has to throw his assistants into the volcano, then the Sabres will blame the rest of this season on injuries. I can see granato refusing to fire his assistants and getting fired, but that's about it. The Sabres have developed a bad history of looking for coaches with ties to the organization- so if you wanna guess at who the next coach would be, I would say Seth appert (Sabres ahl coach) would be the runaway favorite, with some other former Sabres rounding out the field, i suppose ruff is an option, but we need to stop making the same mistakes over and over again. I don't see a torts or gallant coming here, which is really too bad.

Offseason Rossi Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Danny_MrGM_Briere</b></div><div>Is he that good? Will he be better than a middle 6 player? Laughton can play up and down the lineup and I think the sabres might want the leadership and mentality that he brings for all of the young players. A 4th rounder on top of that too. But again I could be ignorant to how good Ostlund really is because I don't know much about him.</div></div>
If Laughton was gonna get a premium, it would have been done by now. I would rather the Sabres package a couple young prospects and go big game hunting.

Id be open to trading TK but it'd cost you more than a 1 for 1. I probably prefer Savoie or Kulich in this deal, a pick swap this year with FLA's 1st, and a 2nd in 2025. Adding TK to top 6, moving Skinner down to 3rd line for maybe better production... Buffalo could make waves.</div></div>
So we would be trading savoie, pick 9, and a second- for tk and pick 26. He would have to come with a freshly signed extension for that.

Konecny is the guy that sabres fans would want. The Sabres have a skilled group of forwards, but are missing a fair amount of toughness with skill like konecny has. Laughton and Cates are other guys whose names get thrown around, but neither would be more than a throw in for kulich, ostlund, or savoie.

To be fair, nobody is suggesting we give him away. The return here is- a recent top 5 pick that may be a better fit for the current roster, a center who provides leadership, grit, talent, and a first round pick.
