<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Flamesfan60</b></div><div>How much for Jake? I was trying to get him at a bargain.</div></div>
He's a point per game winger over the last 5 seasons who has hit the 40 goal mark twice and paced for 40 goals another season that was shortened due to injury. There is no bargain. He costs a 1st, a roster player, and a top prospect.

We don’t need size necessarily, we just need to be better defensively…
Ty smith has a way higher ceiling than zadorov… we need speed, mobility, and puck moving on the backend… the pens defensive woes are barely on the defensemen… even dumoulin has looked better… the forwards haven’t been tracking back to cover for the d that pinch every time bc sully tells them to.

New GM Big Changes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Marked_Difference</b></div><div>toss in your 25 and 26 1st round picks and the Yotes would consider moving Keller. As it stands PIT will need to look elsewhere for a PPG player.</div></div>
4 1sts? Never happening and your team would definitely trade him for 2 firsts, it’s just a matter of which other prospects would be needed in the deal. Everyone saw with the Chychrun trade that AZ isn’t taking NHLers back unless they’re dumps. If we could still trade cash I think they’d take a big pile of it. In fact your lineup would probably be piles of cash on skates.

New GM Big Changes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoachCoach</b></div><div>They are both younger than the non NHL “prospects” you are trading them for, while both being actual NHL players. While not projected to hit their draft pick potential, both have improved each and every year. Tage proves that players can improve at their own rates (by no means am I saying these two come close to half of that). These two are doing that.
Petry coming in would be subtraction by addition. Detroit dealt Hronek who is younger, cost controlled, and better than Petry. With Hronek, Z, and Veleno in the lineup the Wings were neck and neck with the Pens. Remove those three players and add Petry and the Wings are swimming with the lottery.</div></div>
But Petry has played well this year and is an actual good NHL player. Zadina is going to be on waivers if he sticks around there. Veleno is at best a 3C and that’s the max. Again your fan base overrated your players more than anyone I’ve seen on CF aside from possibly Vancouver.

Hållander + Nylander + Lindberg + Petry for future considerations may have a chance.</div></div>
That’s laughable. We have no need to trade him. You need a RHD. You have absolutely nothing behind Seider. Everyone knows Zadina is basically Kapanen on a better cap hit and Veleno is never going to be a top 6 forward.

If you want Pettersson period, it's a 1st round pick coming to PIttsburgh. If you want to dump Boeser's contract, you're looking at another 2 high-mid round picks.

The Chychrun return is reasonable either without Vejmelka or without retention. With both, this return is light.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DougieGilmour</b></div><div>That’s better value than Horvat or Tarasenko got.</div></div>
Who cares? Both rentals. Meier is way better than Tarasenko. Horvat had a career year. Meier has team control and is younger. The sharks aren’t trading their best asset to Vegas on a discount, in fact it’s been reported teams in the west have to pay more, especially Vegas

TDL talks
Not even a slight chance that Dubois is traded at the TDL. Absolutely none.
In the summer, if PLD is traded the Horvat deal plus a little extra is the minimum you are looking at. There's no rational or logical reason that is based in reality, that Winnipeg would expect any less.
These Montreal fan fantasies of gold for garbage just need to go away. There is simply no possible realistic reason that the Jets would give Dubois away for nothing as proposed here.

Before he ever played a game for them? This has a massive risk potential. This year is an anomaly compared to prior years in terms of production so if he regresses to his usual output then this is a terrible contract, especially since it runs until he's 36.
