- Signed beyond this season, so not a rental. Affordable cap hit. Age-wise fits the core. Don’t see ARI moving him.

- Signed beyond this season, so not a rental. Extremely affordable cap hit. Age-wise fits the core. Zero chance CBJ move him. If made available he’d shoot to the top of the list, either #1 or #2

<strong> <em> Casey Mittelstadt </em>
25yr old, LHW/C, 2.5m AAV, RFA</strong>:
- Not signed beyond this season, though RFA. Next contract demand could be an issue. Age is perfect as he fits this core and could stay for the next. Zero chance BUF moves him.

<strong> <em> Adam Henrique </em>
33yr old, LHW/C, 5.825m AAV, UFA</strong>:
- Only signed this year, then UFA. Affordable cap for this season. Age is good for a rental. Could be a backup plan if Chevy can’t find a longer term solution.

<strong> <em> Nazem Kadri </em>
33yr old, LHC, 7m AAV through ‘28-29</strong>:
- Signed beyond this season, so not a rental, but contract is too long. Affordable cap hit for first few years, but too high for his final few years. Age-wise fits the core, though on the high end. Don’t see him being an option based on age, contract length, and cap hit.

- Only signed this year, then UFA. Current contract is affordable. Age-wise fits. Don’t think he’d extend in WPG, but could be wrong… would be a backup plan.

- Only signed this year, then UFA. Current contract is easily affordable. Age-wise fits core perfectly. My personal preferred choice. I think there’s a good chance he’d extend in WPG. Fits our system perfectly.</div></div>

Pretty much bang on with what I was thinking.
The idea of Schmaltz intrigues me, but like you said I doubt ARI moves him. I woudl love Jenner and I wonder what teh cost would be. CBJ fans say he's not available, but their team sucks and they could sell high on him, but the same reason i want him is the same reason they dont want to let him go

But thats what Trotzy will want to trade him.</div></div>

Have they? Or are they running a young goaltender on a hot streak into the ground, risking injury or exhaustion that will destroy their playoff hopes, with no backup plan should the worst come to pass?
I'm not advocating for Allen specifically, he's not the only possibility, but I do believe they should dump Campbell's contract (if at all possible) and/or pick up a stronger backup than Pickard (who has played all of 25 games in the NHL over the last 6 years and never in the playoffs).

IF they can move Campbell's contract, they can bolster the roster further and afford more goaltending options, so it does make sense. It's a question of the cost to do so.
People point at a buyout being the preferable option, but this team already has a good chunk of dead cap and no room to maneuver. It will only get worse if they add more dead cap with a buyout.</div></div>
