Number one offseason priority is trading Backstrom. He does not have a great contract but he is still a very useful player who dishes out assists and can make an impact. The price won't be super high but I'm not going to just dump him.

Would love to make a splash before the deadline. If I'm getting a forward, Trocheck or Palat would be available for an upgrade. On D, Fehervary would be available. Needs:
Upgraded Defense -- ideally a top 4 guy but would be ok with more depth options. All futures are available for the right guy.

On The Block:
Depth RFA Forwards -- Sprong and Kolesar (price: either future(s) or a swap for a similar caliber defenseman)
Dowd (price: same as Sprong/Kolesar)
Lauzon (price: pretty much any value, would include him in a deal for an upgraded defenseman)
Connaughton (price: a bag of pucks or something idk not much)

Available In The Right Deal:
Backstrom (price: would be looking for someone younger and/or better)
Sheary (price: looking for an upgraded 3rd line winger)
Hathaway (price: same as Sheary)
Fehervary (price: would need a clear upgrade on D -- someone relatively young and under team control)

Have cap space and looking for defensemen. I have an excess of bottom 6 forwards so guys like Sprong, Kolesar, and Dowd are available. I would also be interested in upgrading any part of my team, not just defense.
