Not sure the only two options are trade him to Leafs for more than he’s worth or extend him. Most likely he takes door #3 & signs elsewhere for a better team

Pretty sure wings fans are more annoying - it’s just there are way more Leaf fans…how about per capita, wings (or Canucks) fans at top of annoying chart. In terms of absolute value of annoyance - I’ll accept that the Leafs lead that category.
Bertuzzi is over rated and you said it your self this is a motivated seller, not buyer - no chance the Leafs give up half of that for Bert

Good points but in the end production = value in the nhl. IMO, no chance he gets a 2nd but 🤷

No one watches all nhl games 😕. I just watch Leafs games but luckily there are a lot of sites that collect & publish advanced stats. It’s true, Domi gets more offensive zone starts and his xgf% is 41.54% which is pretty awful. But I checked some other Hawk players and they’re similarly bad so maybe it is more the team (Hawks clearly struggling and rebuilding) than the player.
But take away engvall (he’s better than Domi, especially defensively) and switch to 3rd and I’d make the trade

What would DeBrincat cost
First, no chance we trade within division unless it’s rentals. Second, on our team a young, cost controlled RHD is more valuable than another scoring winger. And we don’t need another smallish, skilled winger - Marner & Nylander are on team already and >> deBrincat. We need a power forward.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EvanderKanesLawyer</b></div><div>Oh my god you just answered your own questions LMFAOO.
Do you not think the rise in productions from our players last year had anything to do with Hynes shifting his structure every year? It’s literally a coaching issue. What aren’t you getting?
I’ll hit you with some hard truth, because I think you need to hear it. I dont know if you know this, but the leafs aren’t the center of the universe. And because you said that, im willing to believe you’re either 16, or just slow. People only talk about your team because you’re terrible. Holding onto a cup win that you won 54 years ago. Haven’t won a round since 2004.
you can have your elite players and terrible prospect pool. matthews and marner can break all the records they want, but it means jack nothing if they hit the golf course the day after a first round exit.
Nobody is jealous of your team. In fact, you are quite literally the meme of the hockey world, and you’ve been a meme since 2013. Thats insane.
Boing boing boing. Keep bouncing on your players meat. We’ll come back in april when you’re golfing just like us 😭</div></div>
You are the best bud :tearsofjoy I’ll wait for the excuses this spring when you miss the playoffs - new mascot, cheerleaders changed their outfits, DJ changed the TayTay goal song :tearsofjoy

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EvanderKanesLawyer</b></div><div>Guy was talking about me avoiding the facts but ignored everything I said, continuing to prove my point. Leaf fans are crazy.
You wanna speak about being average? Team hasn’t won a round since 2004😭</div></div>
Bud - I’ll try one more time to help you because as a fan of the most popular team in the league that plays in the centre of the hockey universe - we welcome new fans, even if they don’t understand the nuances of the nhl game fully.
Duchene has 304 goals in 937 career games; translates to ~ 26-27 goals per year. 40 goals last year was an outlier; he had 19 combined the two previous years.
Josi’s numbers are similar, career average is ~0.7 points per game, so 60-70 points more reasonable expectation (which is still excellent for a dman).
Preds are an average team with average players. By way of comparison, the Leafs are an elite team with elite players 😎.
Hope this helped 👍

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EvanderKanesLawyer</b></div><div>It’s like leaf fans are purposely trying to look stupid for some reason.
So were going to act like Caufield wasnt having one of the worst seasons under Ducharme before St. Louis came in and played to his strengths (now on pace to score 30+ goals).
Hynes was a result of a lot of players in our forward group producing well last season, but has since then lost the room. And as a result, mix/matches the lines every other night to spark chemistry. It happens, coaches lose their voices and teams need new leadership. He’s been the coach since 2020.
Its the same reason 90% of preds fans on here will tell you he needs to he fired, same with poile. I’ve already told you, if leaf fans paid attention to other teams besides meat riding matthews, you’d be less ignorant.</div></div>
You are a piece of work. You spout ridiculous opinions like they’re facts. Get a grip bud - you’re entitled to your opinion but don’t mistake your opinion for fact.
Professional hockey players (like all athletes) are responsible for their own performance ; coaches can have an impact but it’s limited - blaming the coach is weak and an easy excuse but in this case it was the SAME coach :tearsofjoy . So he was a great coach last year when Jeannot shot 20% but terrible this year when the same player is shooting 6% :tearsofjoy

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Reason</b></div><div>Personally I think it’s unlikely Schenn is getting a 1st either. Let’s just do some math - typically 5-6 1st rounders dealt at TDL every year (don’t have exact numbers, but seems about right)…this year is one of the deepest drafts in a long time plus we could have blue chip rentals available like Horvat, ROR, Kane, Bertuzzi, Toews, Tarasenko, Gavrikov, etc available but one of those 5-6 teams is going to obtain Luke Schenn with a 1st. I seriously doubt it

Impressive scenario, but keep dreaming :tearsofjoy . Literally no chance Leafs pay a 2nd for Myers even if he was 100% retained.
IF they need help on D next year, it’ll be bottom pair and they can easily find cheaper ($ & no assets) options in FA.

Leafs have no interest in either player imo, and at that price absolutely no interest:

The last refuse of the desperate - blame the coach 😂. Unless I am mistaken - Hynes has been coaching for Jeannot’s entire career with the Preds? So when he scored 24 in 81 (shoot 19.4%) last year but has scored 3 in 32 this year (shoot 6.4%) - was it because of the coach last year but it’s his fault this year 🧐?

I don’t think the oil have the capacity (picks, prospects, and cap space) to target both Gavrikov & Meier. Have to prioritize and from outside the d corps could use a serious upgrade.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Finn2016</b></div><div>Horvat is a player any team would want but most can’t obtain because of cap and teams that can afford him still rebuilding and he’s a luxury they’ll wait for till they’re almost there. <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NV94</b></div><div>Not according to this site. No use in trading him at all</div></div>
I haven’t seen every Horvat trade response but I think most fans of other teams would love to have him, but not for the ridiculous price many canucks fans have proposed. Time will tell but consensus seems to be 1st + prospect + additional mid pick. Final 2 will depend on team trading for him, but as a Leafs fan (for the record I’d prefer ROR) I’d offer 1st + Minten or Hirvonen + 4th or 1st + Niemela.
Literally no chance I’d offer Sandin or Lilligren - just completely ridiculous to think any team would give up cost controlled top 4 D or top 6 forward for a rental. Canucks fans have to stay on planet earth

Everyone else (Robertson, Kerfoot, Hirvonen, Villenevue, Steeves) have little to no value to us. These trades even for a rental are steep and I think Canucks would look for something like:
To TOR:
Bo Horvat (50% retained)
2023 4th round draft pick or roster player
To VAN:
Rasmus Sandin
2023 1st round pick
2024 conditional pick (If Leafs make the second round)
Honestly I could see a hockey trade go down:
To TOR
Bo Horvat
2023 2nd rounder
To VAN
William Nylander</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JaredOfLondon</b></div><div>these are not even close for toronto, like not remotly close even.</div></div>
Those really are preposterous trade proposals, even by canuckle standards. Canucks mgmt can talk about getting a young d (nhl ready) but it ain’t going to happen for a rental. Only a team that could extend him but most of those teams can wait for FA, most (if not all) contending teams don’t have cap space to extend Bo.

Tbf when would Fitzgerald have been in the position to consider trading for rentals, so pretty much empty rhetoric. Now that team is in playoff position and competitive his tune may change. Maybe not this year, but in near future - he’ll be under pressure to gear up especially when teams in your division are doing it.
