How do you fit them all in
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Hardly toast, though I like Mikheyev on the PK, and really at his best he's a mini Hyman. Kampf is seeing lots of PK minutes.
I didn't understand the Leafs logic in signing both Kase and Ritchie.</div></div>
from what i see, kase might just be ltir and heal him over the season and he is an RFA at the end of the year and they can keep his rights and see where he goes. the ritchie i see as a good signing he throws hits, Muzzin last season had 101 and Ritchie had 102. i think he will fit well with matthews and marner as the hyman replacement to an extent he is going to offer another shot option or pass option.

i was looking at moving MIK as are most people but he logged the second most min of any forward on the PK second to Marner.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>"HOW DO YOU FIT THEM ALL IN". You can't. Don't see how HoSang...who is average AHLer at best plays in the NHL or even Gusev. Leafs have to go with a 22 man roster with a 7th Dman, so cap wise a Mikheyev might be gone, even though he is good value at 1.6m</div></div>
if you move him you are toast on the PK he logs big min. who would you replace him with?

Player Points Prediction
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kster34</b></div><div>Be interesting to see if Keefe runs out a shutdown line; everything you read about Kampf is elite defense, with very little offense. If that’s the case, then I don’t see Spezz playing on that line. Maybe Engvall or simmonds instead and Spezz on 3rd line. I also hope they find a way to get brooks in regular rotation; I think he’s a smart player, underrated</div></div>
i really hope he does, that is what killed us in the playoffs. keef kept saying he doesnt need to line match. its a tool im not sure why he wouldnt use it correctly.

but you are wrong they basically traded
KK and a 2nd for Davorak and a 3rd, i think kk will be a better player.

Screw the Own Rental Concept
not sure i really like this trade, i do like moving riley and not loosing him for nothing. my opinion would be to trade him but if you are trading Robertson it should be a top pair defensemen with some term or a solid top 6 winger with a good deal.
Gurianov, Denis ---------------------he has had 2 seasons around 30 points
2022 2nd round pick (DAL) ------------- magic beans
2022 4th round pick (DAL) -------------- probably a non player
2022 5th round pick (DAL) ------------- probably a non player
DAL
Rielly, Morgan - solid top 4 defensemen, only 1 year left on contract
Robertson, Nicholas - solid prospect and probably one of the leafs top prospects, could turn into a top 6 winger.

personally i would rather keep Kerfoot, did well last year in the playoffs and he provides center depth, if one of the bottom 2 centers go down he can help out,

2021 - 2022
oh i hope he doesnt but i was showing if he does then it wont be a big deal, he cant score if his life depended on it. he is a good PK guy and hyman like in some ways without the skill. if he does well enough for top 6 min then great if not i would let him go.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_Habs_fan</b></div><div>Look at the AAV technically it’s a over 1 mil. deal</div></div>
so is almost every single elc deal for good players it is only over a mill if he performs and hits all his bonuses, which is not likely. here are the schedule a and b bonuses.

he will get an offer sheet before that happens, and if it goes into the season they cant be over the cap so someone throws a 6 mill offer at him and they cant match.

Ottawa Senators signed Connor Brown (3 Years / $3,600,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rollie1967</b></div><div>He got almost 1.1 million more than Virtanen....frankly i dont see it. Hes a decent 3rd liner- but 2nd line is a stretch, but if any of the young players falter, I guess he can slide up the roster. Virtanen has much more upside, but he takes bad penalties, needs to mature.
Sens did some strange moves, I dont think they managed all that cap space well, buying out Ryan? not taking on similar contracts and getting other prospects/drafts as well? Why the hell would you give up anything for Gudbrandson (who seems to be on a 'guess what team Im going to disappoint next' contract tour), while taking on the full salary? $4mil per can get you a decent dman. Hamonic is still out there, and he is miles better than Gudbrandson. Hell i would rather go with Bowey or Koekkoek than him. They cost less and have much more upside ( i thought Koekkoek played well in the playoffs for the Hawks, surprised they didnt bring him back).</div></div>
virtanen had his best year at 36 pts, and 2 more seasons at 25 pts. brown has 43 this year and 28 on the other 2 but he plays much more defensively responsible and on the pk so makes him more valuable. also with brown they are buying ufa years which cost more money and longer term.
