Trade with the habs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Copenhagen</b></div><div>Sorry I do not understand this trade at all. Who are you going to buy out and why would Columbus get rid of their number 1 center?</div></div>
Buy out Dubinsky
And he isn’t their #1, Pierre Luc Dubois is.
Dubinsky had like 18 points each of the last 3 seasons. Was benched a lot by torts. He’s going to cost the jackets 5.85 mil next season. This is to relieve some cap like when the jets traded Steve mason and Joel Armia to the habs

Would this work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tsyls</b></div><div>This is an easy no from wpg. Jets need a top 4 Dman with term and a top C prospect in return for Laine. Think like a Brett Pesce + Martin Necas for a base of a deal.</div></div>
Yeah what about adding kulak. Juulsen has top 4 potential. Also Domi fits the jets needs. I think he plays best as a center and he’ll be playing behind Sheifele

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Suzuki_Cup</b></div><div>Funny cause in last year's offseason, people were ready to trade Domi and a 2nd rounder straight up for Laine :)</div></div>
But Domis value is between that year and last year. I think he’s a 60 point player as a center.

Clean up - fresh start
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DriveFor25</b></div><div>That Edmonton trade is so bad for us and I would rather gamble on Drouin playing well with KK than trade him and Mete for Tuch.</div></div>
The other thing too is that I feel like Tuch is a slightly more consistent Armia. Also his brother is in this draft, would rather see the habs use the second on him. Luke Tuch apparently plays like Tkatchuk and is a big LW which the habs desperately need.
Give Jo one last year in the city to see what he can do, next year he’ll be replaced by Caufield in the depth chart
Edit: reading his scouting profile, this is what Ben Kerr said
Tuch uses his size and strength to establish his position in front of the net or to win board battles. He also is an effective forechecker and will use his body to get the puck. Tuch plays a more physical game than his brother and is a threat to hammer a defenceman if they take to long to move the puck. He is also good at controlling the puck in the cycle game and at driving the net when an opening appears. If an opening doesn’t appear, he drives the net bowling right over the man defending him.
If this isn’t what the habs need, I don’t know what they need

On top of that, they dont need to rush Romanov

Max Domi
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>Very tempting MTL trade but ultimately keeping Alzner is really no problem for the Habs. They have tons of cap space and are not a playoff team in need of shedding extra cap to be able to make runs at the cup. Perfectly fine letting that terrible signing just finish.
Now Domi for Skjei, Strome etc is solid, I think the need for LHD has died down a little with the idea of Romanov coming over next year AND the Habs looking ready to retool yet again. Also just me personally, Im still still not sold on Strome. NYR are smart to get full value for him if they can but if its me, I still ain't getting him unless the price is moderately low. A player like that, I want to see repeated success year after year before paying full price on him.
Either way solid offer but I personally would pass. Just not the right fit.</div></div>
wouldn't it be better if Skjei was switched out for K'Andre Miller. We need miller more than we do Skjei

Ylonen is a B+ prospect, but Anderson has put up goals in the league and plays big. The team needs to get big and needs to get rid of smaller players.
AA is same thing plus i think at this point Byron would be a throw in.
both have put up nearly 30 goals, under 26 and can skate.

Anaheim's biggest need right now is a top 4 RHD.</div></div>

You cant trade your center depth this year or next year. Let your centers develop and then make the decision. Or else mtl will go back into that no center depth hell.
Barkov took a while to develop, Sheifele took a while. KK will be good and i wouldnt trade him yet. Plus Werenski would be KK plus Primeau plus ... (CLB isn't trading him)

Brodin & Staal would be a priority... or Werrenski with Anderson would be one as well!</div></div>
If they make it deep in the playoffs, they wont need to worry about the draft :p

But was it that he gained value because of having Panarin on the team and this is his true self? Idk i think hes a 25 goal scorer who adds grit . Thats why i mentionned possibly adding a first and doing more if needed (Prospect not named Poehling or Suzuki).
He is an RFA this summer and do the Blue jackets offer him 6m per year?
