I don't think any team is taking that Campbell contract, unless there's at the very least a 1st coming back.

Yup, these are both really good points! It's a real wait and see situation honestly, but I think everyone sees Myers moving in some form or another eh

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>You guys did just see what it cost LAK, right?</div></div>
They paid a 2nd and Grans to dump Petersen (2x$5) and Walker (1x2.65), and retained 30% of Provorov's contract.
The difference is, those two contracts are actually owed $14.5 million in real cash, and when you minus the ~$5 mil cash they'll be paying Provorov, that's a $9.5 mil real cash dump.
Myers is owed $1 million after the bonus, and a team like Arizona or Anaheim is going to take his contract for a lot less to save on their own cash spending. Fans of both teams have already said they'd take him for a 3rd or a 4th round pick lol.
It's not quite the same, but I get where you're coming from. This just isn't going to happen though.

I think that Debrincat's asset value has dropped compared to what OTT paid for him, so I think this is a bit much. Replace NYI's 1st with a conditional 2024 1st, top 15 protected.

I think no, Pearson/Poolman are likely LTIR, and while dumping the rest is nice, it's not worth dropping that many spots.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>He clearly stated 5v5 bc DEMKO sucked on the PK. Colin delia managed to have a positive GSAx on the PK</div></div>
No, the Canucks penalty kill was actually on pace to be the worst all-time when Demko was out.
And that certainly doesn't explain you calling him a liar, using all-situation stats to try and call him out when it wasn't what he was talking about.

Oh man, this is going to be a little rough. You uhh.. forgot to read.
So, I went to Moneypuck and found the 89th/107 stat, and I found your 0.918 stat. They're all-situations stats, which is *not* what mv was talking about lol. You just skipped the first line in everything he said.....
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div><strong>Demko at 5v5</strong>
20/21: .925 SV%, 6.67 GSAA, 7.89 GSAx
21/22: .933 SV% (3rd best), 26.42 GSAA (1st), 19.81 GSAx (3rd)
22/23: .920 SV%, 4.43 GSAA, 7.14 GSAx
22/23 after return from injury: .930 SV%, 7.72 GSAA, 8.22 GSAx
His numbers this past season are down because of the 15 bad games he played while hurt at the start of the season. He also plays in front of a historically bad PK and one of the worst defenses in the league. He’s a top 6-8 goalie in the league</div></div>
You have to make sure you understand everything someone says.. He clearly stated 5v5 because the Canucks had one of the worst penalty kills of *all time* last season.

Beauvillier is a pretty low end middle 6 winger too :P I put really little stock into how he played when on Petey's wing, and much more on the rest of his work. He's not good IMO.
I don't know, I like Dvorak more than his analytics. He plays very difficult minutes, plays them pretty decently, penalty kills, and overall is a solid C. He is *absolutely* more valuable than a 3rd though, cmon, be realistic.

Im sure he will, but there was a huge difference between Liljegren and Niemela's pedigree. They are not the same, and it's not even like Lilj is an established impact defenseman right now. It just isn't going to get you Helle.

While I agree Beauvillier is better, Dvorak is probably more valuable because he's a center.
It's like a middle 6 winger for a 3C. VAN would cause it fills a need from an excess, but I don't know why MTL would do this. Who gives up a 3C for a pretty average middle 6 winger?

Nice assumption that I think they want to keep girard.
My reasoning is, what the hell does COL want with Liljgren, Robertson, or a late 1st?
I absolutely can see them moving Girard, but it won't be for that. It'll almost certainly be in a deal to try and find a 2nd line C.

Massive draft day swing
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aedoran</b></div><div>But that isn't the problem with this trade I'm sure Vancouver would do this in a heartbeat. The problem is getting CBJ to accept it.</div></div>
Maybe, I think CBJ would accept it.
- Miller fits with Gaudreau's timeline, and hes a huge upgrade on Roslovic.
- Demko fixes their goalie situation immediately, and they get to dump a massive anchor.
- Raty is a strong prospect, middle 6 C potential.
All for the cost of moving down 8 spots, and while Carlsson looks to be a stud, they have a massive prospect pool already and will get an impact forward at 11 still.

I don't thiiiink the Canucks should do this. Carlsson is immensely good, but Merzlinkins contract is too much of an anchor, and he is too much of a downgrade. They would be stuck with him for 4 more seasons..

That Nashville trade is so ridiculous.
Dermott, Kravtsov, and Truscott are basically not worth anything.
So it's basically Boeser for Fabbro, Sissons, 2nd, and 3rd? That's such a crazy overpay.

If this was *literally* the <strong>only</strong> deal we could make to move out cap space over this offseason, the next season and following offseason? Maybe.
It's moronic to think that is the case though lol. Its solid logic as to why they would make a trade *like* this, but this isn't it.
