Peeke has not been better than Walker at all. Peeke is legit garbage.

Filling Holes - Bellemare Nedeljkovic Reilly
We thought we'd never see it again...
but "Mike Reilly for a 3rd" trades are <em><strong>BACK</strong></em>, baby!!
Isles accept, I would think. Aho or Bolduc can just get sheltered in that LD3 slot, or they can bring in another 6/7th type for a late round pick.
Ned at 3rd round value feels a little spicy - I don't think there are many legit contenders looking for goalie help (out of the teams currently in playoff position, I think maybe the Flyers, Kings or Leafs would be looking but that's it - in the east, Boston/Tampa/Florida/NYR/Canes are set, and the Wings probably wouldn't be itching to bring Ned back in; out west, Dallas/Winnipeg/Nashville/Vegas/Vancouver are set, & Edmonton doesn't have the space) so you might be able to push down to a 4th here, maybe throw conditions on it that turn it into a 3rd if Ned plays 50.1% of the playoffs or something like that.

Three 3Cs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>UpsideDownQue</b></div><div>Assuming you mean Kerfoot I could get on board with that but it would mean they would likely have to run a 21 man roster to make it work. Moving Kerfoot at 1.75 and replacing him with a league minimum deal would save roughly 1M, while moving Manson at 4.5M and replacing him with a 2-3M contract would save 1.5-2.5M, allowing them to use a 22 or 23 man roster
If you mean Colton I would disagree. I would much rather keep Colton than Manson</div></div>
Oh ofc no. We keep Colton for good. He'll be a fine 2C someday. I meant either one of the Arizona guys. Looking at the cap, probably Kerfoot.
And if it did come down to trading a D, I'd actually sooner trade Girard than Manson. I'm not one of those fans that hates him. Just think it'd be better that way.

Yeah more filters are coming

Why would the Avs do that? Trade a younger, cheaper player at the same position who has a higher ceiling PLUS a potential solution to their perennial 2C problem? That makes no sense at all from the Avs perspective.

Nelson Haha Next Year
Avs are definitely not trading Kovalenko. I don't mind Nelson, though, as a stopgap solution at 2C until Ritchie arrives. I'd ask if Lou would take the 1st, Joey, a prospect like Behrens or Olausson, and maybe a 4th for more retention.

An argument supporting Monahans value
I think your argument comes up lacking in light of two details: 1.) it's based solely on offensive production meaning it comes up short when you try to compare him to Bergeron or even Compher (not saying Monahan is useless defensively, just that he isn't a <strong>particularly</strong> strong two-way C) and 2.) Monahan plays almost exclusively on PP1, which is something he wouldn't do on most contending teams (further hurting your argument based on offensive production). You may have more dimensions you could use to support your belief but, as it's laid out here, it's lacking.
I'm not saying it's impossible that he returns a 1st but I know that's a price I wouldn't pay- in general or for my team (EDM). If a team does, I imagine it'll be conditional based on that team reaching the conf. finals.

Flyers Fans What Is The Cost Of These Players
Couts and Cates probably aren't available and it would take a lot
Frost - 1st round value, has been playing extremely well as of late
Laughton- 2nd+
Seeler- 3rd+
Walker- 2nd+
For any of these guys it may take more than that since PHI is still in the playoff hunt. Walker is the only one that I think is guaranteed to get moved

For the Avs trade, even if Colorado fans don’t like it I would say remove Olausson and replace him by Beaucage. Then it would be fair. Remember what y’all paid for lehky before saying Monahan isn’t worth a 1st+</div></div>
Yeah, not even remotely the same. Monahan is a pending UFA, Lehky was a pending RFA. Lehky is a solid 200 ft player that is years younger than Monahan and fits the Avs style a lot better than Monahan does.

Why a Lindholm Extension is Not Realistic
Reportedly, Lindy wants $9.5M per which is just crazy. He's never consistently been more than a 60 or so point player but he wants to be paid like a 90 point player. Plus, he'll be almost 30 when his next deal kicks in. He's clearly already declining so he wouldn't be worth it. He might do a bit better on a team like the Avs but I bet his next deal ages poorly. Bring it down to $7M and we're talking something more realistic. Avs would have to shed Manson, too, to make it work. They don't need to spend $2.5M for a 3rd pair guy; Jones can be re-signed for cheaper and he works in that role.

Asking price for Brady should be what Calgary got for Matthew
Matthew was fresh off a 100 point season and was a RFA so Florida knew they could sign him for 8 years. Brady has never had more than 83 points in a season and is signed for half the 8 years of Matthew. Not to mention that Brady is only on pace for 66 points this season.
Brady doesn’t get close to what Matthew got. Sorry Sens fans.

(COL/CAR) - Burke for Jones
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensonfire</b></div><div>When a player clears waivers, it means they aren't wanted on another NHL team, destroying their trade value.
Both players in this trade cleared waivers.
That means this trade amounts to a nothingburger for both teams.
Fair deal.</div></div>
Cal Burke has 2 career NHL games and is 26.
Jones is the same age and has 217 career games, including spending the past 3 seasons in the NHL.
Realistically, both guys aren’t very good. But Jones has more NHL upside than Burke. W for Colorado.
Side note: Jones signed his contract 2 months ago. Must be weird getting traded so soon.

That shouldn't be a hot take either.
I'm sorry I didn't announce Colorado as the winner of the trade.
Better luck next time.</div></div>
This is such a bizarre interaction. You said “ If you think the Avs have hit the jackpot with a waivers clearance 7D, then that's just dandy.”
Nobody is saying that lmao.
