That is all - thanks for your time</div></div>
I was running away with it 2 leagues.
Won one and the other my core players went unplanned that hurt me too much to overcome.
Congratulations though.

Called that in the summer because of stretch at the end of last season and playoffs.
I remember a certain someone shot the idea down by claiming that was too small sample size of bad play, clearly was not.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>We never really should be playing to the point where we need a goalie to steal a game especially for playoffs considering the star power this team has.
Good teams play to where everything is clicking from goalie making saves, to defense limiting the chances, the forwards creating plays and scoring goals. When u need a goalie to steal a game for yah it shows u got a lot of work to do. VGK won a cup with their #3 goalie. Didnt need him to steal or be over the top just play well.
TBL has been the few cases Sammy has not had fun with as we saw. Like we know Vasi's weakness they know Sammy's. Thats the one instance where u dont want him playing like you dont want Woll playing vs. BOS.
Sammy had a off night big woop lul. Cant be overreacting when before that he was 18-3-1. Its not like he was 4-5 coming into that game vs. NJ and allowing the first shot to go in 3 of his last 4 lul.
TOR wasnt trying and he was off. Was a crazy score fest night against a non playoff team, Not concerned. Overreacting on one bad start in his last 20 be silly. Close to playoffs sure but you think the team will put out that kind of effort vs. BOS or FLA no</div></div>
Yeah game 1 starter Samsonov
Woooo

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>Why would u start Sammy vs. TBL when TBL and specifically Kucherov has had his number
Sammy should get DET, Woll TBL, and Jones FLA to just allow for no injuries
Also thats a pretty ignorant statement none of the goalies have stolen games
Did you forget the WPG game
Sammy stole that and thats when we knew he was back
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJoIIr_pPQc&ab_channel=SPORTSNET
Still remember him stopping 4 shots on a 2-0 and Keefe benching the big 4. And look at the shots 13mins through the 2nd....
Game 6 vs. TBL last year also robbed them a few times before JT won them the series
Woll also has some moments here and there before the injury. Not full on steals but close</div></div>
I would never rely on Samsonov to steal a game, if anything he is more likely to be the cause of loss.
Samsonov play last night was a joke, he does not get a pass because it is that close to playoff time, .
That type of play gave him pass early on, the time for it now is over.
I'd rather take a chance on Woll simply because betting him now will pay dividends in the future.
I think it's funny that you constantly tote Samsonov's horn but are afraid to play him VS Tampa, yeah that the thinking that get us to succeed in the plays... playing afraid.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oneX</b></div><div>I realize that, it's just too bad these owners don't have long-term vision for success regarding franchises because if they did, they would make more money via fees, gate and TV revenue, nevermind the merchandise sales. It requires patience and vetting potential owners properly as opposed to what Bettman and company have done.
There's not just expansion failures. This commissioner can't even get inclusivity right which BTW would help bring in more revenue but hey, let's alienate groups of people based on how business has been conducted in the past.
A big eff you to that Arizona franchise.</div></div>
Good riddance to that Arizona franchise.
This has been long overdue.
I am a bit worried though, thought the process for land bid was at the end of month.
This is little early with signs pointing to this goung south

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oneX</b></div><div>For all the people who think Keefe is not an issue or don't have problems with him as the coach, Reaves being out during the final minutes of a game just points out why he isn't the coach that will elevate/inspire this team to win in the playoffs.
As for using Reaves in the playoffs? Absolutely will need to have him in some games to keep the rats of other teams in check but definitely not a every game player for sure.
Goaltending is tricky because Woll is the guy of the future but he definitely hasn't earned the game 1 start. There's also Matt Murray and how he's had his surgery so...maybe he is a real option after whatever conditioning stint he goes through with the Marlies.
I guess the goalie stuff will depend on how Samsonov looks in game 1.</div></div>
I am done with Keefe.
I'll admit I was wrong on Reaves, he was already more valuable than I thought he'd be.
Goaltending, Murray I am not sure I can get behind simply because 0 games played this season.
I'd support Woll before Murray, Samsonov has the net as it stands to me with a short leash.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>Looking at this FA market there really aint a lot of prime candidates for goalie
Like this year might be the weakest
Sammy had his struggles but has been pretty good since coming back and through the majority of his games has been good
Through familiarity I would probs bring him back on a 1-2 year 2.8-3m deal and he may also just want stability rn.
If Jones wants to much go for someone else who dont mind being a #3.</div></div>
I think Samsonov should choose stability and sign a 2-3 year deal for less but in all honesty we have seen a team or 2 always overpays a goalie.
Look at Campbell, Korpisalo recently for examples.
If its me, Samsonov wants more than 3 AAV, I am pivoting some else like perhaps double K.

SEA should not begiving him 7m rn when hes got 28 points and 10 goals. A Chytil deal's better for him especially with his drop of play this season
Either way they got the space to sign Tolvanen to 6.5m and be fine</div></div>
Chytil is 3C for Rangers
Beniers is 1C for Kraken
Down year for Beniers this year but looked good last year, he's their franchise guy I'll bet money they lock him up with term and project long term with him

Would have been a nice waiver claim but sadly we to low at time lul
But this summer has a lot of good Middle 6 candidates
Foegele, Heinen, Amadio, etc.
But basically Leafs have 2 options for next summer
1. They can bring an expensive wing at the cost of what Dman they can add or 2. Add 2 nice Dman but are limited to around a 2.5-3m middle 6 forward and 1.5m backup goalie</div></div>
I disagree
Tolvanen makes sense for them to move considering their roster, especially since they will have to pay a pretty penny to Beniers and Daccord is gonna get a hefty pay day too.

When Robertson, Benoit, Dewar, Liligren etc are extended this is the team with its holes

Robertson-JT-Nylander
?-Kampf-Jarnkrok
Holmberg-Dewar-McMann
Rielly-?

That dont seem like a massive overhaul. And all these young guys have earned their respected spots. Its basically many of the Vacant spots have filled themselves
An offseason of
Foegele, Roy, Demelo, and Stolarz would be a nice piece of work by Brad</div></div>
I like the idea of acquiring Tolvanen, thoughts on trade cost and how much he gets?

I was thinking of fit for Leafs, anything north 4.5 seems too rich to me mostly because I want prioritize a 1st and 2nd pair D add on before a 2C/3C.

I don't once remember Dubas exploring any RD options beyond 3rd pair. If you don't explore the option, you don't know what could be possible.</div></div>

Let it go, he's a wing.

Roy would be 50% retained by a third team to make the cap work, and the trade packages would largely consist of picks + non-roster players (like Abruzzese, Timmins, maybe but hopefully not Steeves, etc.) with the exception of Robertson
Bertuzzi - Matthews - Nylander
Duclair - Tavares - Marner
