I’ve never proposed a single trade to MN until this one. Leafs fans on here propose Kerfoot to every team. Pretty much everyone says they don’t need him. I get that too, he’s nothing special. Neither is Tyson Jost, which is why I had him come back in that deal

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kster34</b></div><div>OK, I guess we take your word for it? And that you know how to assess prospects? No offense, but I have my doubts on both so I still prefers draft picks. Leafs like a lot of teams have to move out salary (if they want to sign sandin) - how /when they do it, not sure. That’s why dubas gets paid the big $</div></div>
I am saying Smith has shown to be a better prospect thus far than Abruzzese. That’s backed up by pure fact of the trajectory of their play. It doesn’t mean it will be that way forever. Maccelli did tear it up in the AHL. His stats prove that. I only saw his games in the NHL and naturally the scoring is going to be much lower given the change in role from a top 6 AHLer to a bottom six NHLer.
We could work a trade where one pick and one ELC come back our way but I don’t see a team just tossing away their 1st to us for Sandin

4th line? Ok I’m not a Kerfoot is the greatest player kind of guy like many here but 4th line? I am not sure he’s on the 4th line of anyone

Suter is fading but that’s natural for the regression of a player at this point of his career. Lindell I think is compensated fairly and one of the most underrated defenceman in the league

The value of that trade is fair enough for both teams. I’m not saying you should take the deal just it’s a much better deal than “kerfoot to Anaheim for their 2nd”

Part of my logic is trusting the management group, genius. You argue like a 6 year old, dude. People don’t agree with you because you can’t back anything up with facts or rational logic and you just start making lies up and trying to offend people for no reason. You need a lot of help.</div></div>

I have watched them both. Smith is a better prospect than Abruzzese but the average Leafs fan here probably doesn’t realize that. Smith was a key component of MN State’s Frozen Four run. Maccelli lit it up in the AHL and looked reasonably comfortable playing a bottom 6 role last year in the NHL. How do you expect to pay Sandin?

RBA and GMDW have been involved in hockey for the majority of their lives and seem to be pretty good at what they do based on their track record with the canes, right? Or do you think once they moved to Raleigh they instantly became dumber when it comes to hockey knowledge?
This is just such a silly turn your argument has taken. Only original 6 teams have real opinions essentially. Keep gate keeping the sport tho.</div></div>
I’m not questioning your management Einstein. I’m laughing at people who have never played the game coming on here and saying stupid nonsense like you and your other “bunch of jerks” fellow fan criticizing Yanni Gourde as if he’s never achieved anything, yet a kid Montreal was fine with losing somehow holds the key to destiny…

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vikhodush</b></div><div>Gourde is another middle 6 center. We improved the top 6 scoring depth and the defense. KK had similar metrics to Troch per 60 and replicated his play when forced up in the lineup in smaller stretches last season.
While they could use improvement there adding Gourde doesn’t solve anything, definitely not worth our first next year. Plus the team is committed to KK and I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt (as most Canes fans who follow closely are) since they’ve been pretty spot on with this leadership group. Necas also available to step in at 2C this year if he earns it.</div></div>
You can all live in your alternative universe where KK is a 2nd line centre and you can also expect to see more eliminations in the postseason as a result. Tampa and the Rangers are still both better teams

He is not a 3. He’s better than every centre you have 2-4
