Labanc is terrible, was curious if he had any value from another team's market lol

How much does he resign for? 3-5 million? Furthers my point in Fiala highly likely being gone

So that would look like Labanc/Barabanov/Balcers, Bordeleau and a 1st for Fiala and a 2nd.</div></div>
Would you do labanc and sharks 1st (#9-11) for Fiala and a second?
The burns trade is a great comparable, but sharks gave wild #28 instead of #9-11.

Well yea you'd rather have Fiala now but the cap is the cap. He will be a cap casualty unless they find a way to move more parts out, but with Parise and suter cap hits increasing it looks less and less likely he stays.
This package reminds me of the burns trade years ago
Burns and a 2nd
Seto, Coyle, first rounder
Can see the logic behind the deal...

Clearly didn't see Hill shutout the Kings that one game.
Wild can't afford Fiala so the team should be salivating with a top 10 pick plus the other players included.

If Sharks are going to package Labanc, Merkley, and 1st would have to think they can do better than Domi...

That's some NHL20 trade logic right there yikes.
Agree with GMs - Habs can probably get better value for Domi than a mid 20 pick + fringe prospect. Trade him for for a young dman like a hanifan or someone like that. Sure sounds like Domi will be gone tho. He wants to play center and doesn't sound like there is a fit in Montreal. Plus hes coming off a down year. Sharks would love him, but Doug would balk at any deal involving Timo.

Potential Sharks Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMs</b></div><div>Guys we rather keep Domi than drafting someone between 28-31. If the pick is around 12ish, it’s more tempting. Hopefully he didn’t had a good second year because he knew he was playing for a big contract. I rather keep him and hopefully he do another 70 points season.</div></div>
We'd throw in one of those seconds probably haha That's a good point tho what Habs would want for him. he was traded for galchenyuk and probably wouldnt be finding a star in high 20's with tampa first rounder. Also Habs have so many picks they may not want more, rather get a roster player in any Domi trade. Would be more than happy to include Vlasic!
Always interesting to hear another prospective from acquiring team, that's what makes doing a legit roster so difficult. Some of these rosters people make are jokes not considering the other team. Saw a few where Toronto trading Andersen to Sharks. WUT

Totally get it. Perron is $$. Had him on my fantasy team and was great. Gambrell is pretty useless. Hopeful he can figure things out but so far he seems like a bottom 6 or fringe NHLer. Still young tho so hopeful.
From a Blues perspective is there anyone you think they would part with that includes Gambrell and the 1st for Allen +??

SJSTL Trade

Hardest part of this exercise is thinking what the other team would want in a trade package. No idea if STL would be interested in either of these guys dealt or the receiving package BUT if they have any hope of resigning Pietrangelo they'd have to move some $$. With the rumored cap being flat they will have to make some moves regardless of resigning Pietrangelo.

SJS Deal
As a Sharks fan that watches every game initial reaction this deal seems like a win for the Sharks. Labanc is one of the biggest mysteries in the NHL. 2018/19 he was great, can see a ton of potential. 2019/20 he looked lost and was not a top 6 forward most nights. Don't watch much NYR hockey but had Strome and Georgiev on my fantasy team and they were terrific. Based off of these opinions seems like a win for the Sharks
Having said all of that, Sharks biggest need this off-season are wingers, specifically RW. Is Strome that big of an upgrade over Labanc? Seems like an even swap. Does it make sense to trade an in house RW option for strome who has bounced around the league? If this trade went through Strome would be on his 4th team in 5 years. Yikes. Also how does the expansion draft work if Georgiev came to Sharks? Do the Sharks expose Georgiev or Jones? Would be terrible PR if Jones was exposed and not picked by Seattle...

Jones buyout surprisingly not all that bad, especially if cap continues to go up. With Seattle joining league cap may increase quite a bit.

If they didnt tade for Erik Karlsson
This is a pretty bare bones roster, unless this roster was meant to just showcase what the team would look like without the EK65 trade. Had that trade never of happened gotta think DW would have pulled the trigger on other trades. The guy I wish they targeted is Mark Stone. Imagine what the team would look like with him playing RW with Logan and Timo...
