<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Scyie_</b></div><div>Completely agree on the Monahan for Toews swap, It a much better deal for the Flames, but the Flames would probably have to throw Valimaki and or a higher valued pick to get him while having the Hawks retain 50% of his 10.5m cap.

I feel the easier way and potentially cheaper is getting Lucic and Monahan off the books this offseason because based off my own opinion I think if they are to resign Mangiapane, Gaudreau, Tkachuk and Kylington thats easily 25m+ maybe even over 30.
10.5 for Gaudreau
9 for Tkachuk
6 for Mangiapane
maybe 4 for kylington?

thats just what went through my head when I made the trade, Their is probably far better teams that can better service the flames with shedding cap. Just wanted to do the sharks cause they been gaslighting themselves for the past 2 years</div></div>

You're breakdowns are off.
Gaudreau and Tkachuk likely both get around 9.5M (+/- 250k)
Mange likely gets around 5-5.5M max, Rust deal should help bring it down and he hasn't earned Buchnevich money
Kylington should barely get half of that, he had 18 points in the last 57 games (since Jan 1st) as an offensive defenseman. He's not young enough to be a "developing young player" anymore, and he doesn't have the track record of success to get a big deal. He should get a 1 year prove-it deal at around 2-2.5M max

To summarize, Calgary likely only needs to move out one of Lucic/Monahan and it's entirely possible that Lucic just retires after his bonus is paid too
