If Bergeron and or Krejci don’t retire, giving Coyle the 2nd line center is much more likely than Zacha taking over in that position.
If Bergeron and or Krejci do retire. Hall and Coyle won’t be traded whatsoever because the middle will be weak beyond belief.
Grzelcyk is the only possible option move

As a sharks fan, for the sake of the rebuild. I would take this deal, it would be beneficial for a young core resurgence.

As a neutral party from an outside look. Sturm has been the best FA signing from last offseason and fits perfectly into a 3rd line center that provides consistency and great two way play. Injuries is the only concern that leads the sharks to making this deal

as a fan of the sharks. I do not believe trading Meier is not the best course of action for the franchise, but if this were to happen. This is what I think Mike Grier would be looking for

as a fan of the sharks, I do not believe the best course of action for the franchise is trading Meier. But if this event were to take place,, in the sharks best interest for the future. This is what I believe the trade should look like

All this granted that Meier signs an extension as the trade goes through.

Sharks biggest weakness outside of goaltending is young established D-men. If I am Mike Grier this is what im asking for Meier

True, but 2 games isn’t the best of a sample size. I feel it’s already been settled that Swayman is 1a and Ullmark is 1b for this season. We will see how it goes

For next offseason it’s all hypothetical but if Ullmarks numbers are good, teams that would be potentially have interest would be

Carolina - both goalies are UFA
Ottawa - no shot they resign Murray, Forsberg Ullmark would be pretty good imo
San Jose - Reimer will be traded before the season or at the deadline, if Adin Hill sucks this season, sharks will move on and with bruins cap problems even going into next season. This wouldn’t be a bad move
Anaheim - all depends on the Gibson situation
Montreal - all depends on Price situation and if Cayden Primeau is ready for the NHL.
All the others are 1a 1b situations

In my opinion Don has the same mindset of McAvoy and Carlo being the cornerstone players of our D for the future.
I don’t see him trading him whatsoever.

As for goaltending, Ullmark next offseason has 8 team NTC, he will be traded and Boston sign/trade a cheaper backup with swayman being the future franchise number 1
