Even with how lopsided the forst three trades are, this is more like an unbuild than a rebuild. And what is the point of Pearson for Hornqvist? Just to pay more money for nothing?

Neither trade is going to happen. A team will pay something for Pearson at the TDL. Garland is worth something as well, and taking back Domi who is a UFA get's Van nothing for either, AND they lose a 3rd. Makes no sense. If you are thinking about dumping salary, there's no need to dump Pearson, as his contract is up. Better to hold on/trade him elsewhere and get a positive return for Garland.

Why is it that the Leafs, whether its for Schenn or Horvat, want to give Van tiny prospects? Is that all the wunderkind Dubas drafts? Van can get a better return, whether it be picks or prospects.

Van also isn't in a position to move down in the 1st round of a stacked draft. No way they do that.

... Clearly don't know any of those players. Poolman has not played. Myers is known for impressive skating for a man his size and decent hands. OEL has spent most of his career as a #1 defenseman and even at this point is far better known as a playmaker than a shutdown guy. Try to know something before you speak, it comes off better.

Never said Canucks don't want puck movers. Just said they dont want two undersized ones in the top 6.

5'11 170lbs is undersized. You can have one of those guys, sure. But the Canucks already have Hughes and need a stay at home guy who can hit and stand up for him. Canucks don't need little skill guys. Have plenty.

Terrible trade for Van. Leafs can keep their tiny, underperforming Finns, and the picks are way too far in the future. Not one of those players helps now. Canucks need a solid RD if they are going to move either or both of those guys.

Yeah... The most hits for any Dman since the started tracking the stat would be terrible in the playoffs. Stay at home true grit guys that can play 20 mins if needed? Coaches hate that...

Give your head a shake. Many teams would pay to have him and play him. Toronto, Florida, Edmonton, etc, etc.

Too much for Bo. He's there's only a 50 game stretch where he's scored at an 8.5 mil rate and hasn't had the two way impact to merit it. Also too long of term for Kuzmenko for similar reasons.

I think the Schenn trade is great value but the Canucks have enough bottom 6 guys and little to no cap space, as much as Motter is liked here.
