<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DJP1117</b></div><div>So I appreciate the constructive conversation obviously everyone isnt 100% in tune with Values. I was more looking at 2 guys needing potentially a change of scenery.

So What makes me think Montreal needs a player like robertson... Ill try and back my theory up with my interpretation of facts.

Here is my thought process on the Habs side:
1. Montreal does have Caufield as top line LW which thats good cause Robertson isnt a top line player atleast rn anyways. The Habs are Very thin on the left side behind Caufeild. Their options are Gallagher which has had a very rough season and is not producing at a 2LW pace or even close. Same with their other potential option in Josh Anderson.
Montreal I believe is in the bottom 5 in Goals for on the season. and would benefit from some depth scoring as their scoring seems to come from Suzuki or Caufeild.
Even their Injuries of Dvorak and Dach dont help their thinness on the left side. Centre of RW.

2. Robertson can be had for VERY cheap with the potential of Huge upside given proper reps in the top 6. Something he could never get to in toronto for one reason or another wheter it be their depth or injuries. Robertson could be had for Sub 2M on a 2-3 year deal being as close as they are to the cap a top 6 winger making 2-3M would be a huge benfit.

Obviously those are my reasons for Montreal needing an offensive LW. Now that doesnt need to be robertson obviously any offensive LW would do.
I would be willing to add for Xhejak I just dont believe hes worth a Cowan or a Minten. Dont think hes on that level.
If the leafs could get a 2nd I would do a second and Robertson. However they dont have one. so I would be willing to do something like
Robertson, Niemela and a 3rd. or something like that. anymore then that id pass. by the sounds of it he has got better since coming back , i just dont know where his ceiling could be. hes already 23 YO. I dont see him ever being a top pairing D. I see him being a good 3-4 Dman on a good team max imo. for that reason I wouldnt give up a 1st plus or Minten and cowan like others are suggesting.</div></div>

I applaud your thought process and responses. However, I don't believe Xhekaj needs a change of scenery. Since his injury and stint in Laval, he's adjusted his game and improves each night. It's only his 2nd year in, where he's made great progress. Obviously he has stuff to work on, but the last few games it seems MSL has trusted him in various spots. His discipline is already improving and this "low hockey iq" rhetoric doesn't fit. He's going to make mistakes, he's young and only just north of 90 games in the NHL.

I do believe and agree that Roberston needs a change, due to having a loaded top 6 in front of him. As nice as it is to have that skill on your team, it could really stunt development since Matthews and co. aren't even close to the end of their prime years.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dr_Invictus</b></div><div>None of the NHL "insiders" said Josh Anderson is valued at a 1st and a high prospect, and even if they did, it doesn't change the cap reality. If Calgary traded for him, then they would have to shed his 5.5M salary, at minimum, next year. Trading Lucic means nothing because his cap hit is fully absorbed by weegar and Huberdeau's extensions. These are basic facts, not opinions from Twitter. Anderson's stats are facts, not opinions. His age is a fact, not an opinion. So if your "insiders" are choosing to ignore that, then you need to question the value of that opinion. Moreover, no reputable insider has recently stated that Anderson is valued as high as so many Habs fans are desperate to have him valued.</div></div>

I think everyone just gets too caught up in "points". If he was a leading goal-scorer, he'd be making what Suzuki makes. It's funny when those who don't watch all the games try to analyze someone else's games. Analytics are great and all, but they don't tell the whole story. What people tend to miss with Anderson is that he is a valuable asset being a fast power-forward who can put up decent points for being rotated through 2nd &amp; 3rd line. Not only that, he creates turnovers and creates plenty of opportunities. For example, the analytics don't tell if his linemates are in the right places to convert from the opportunities. He's not a bad player at all and I agree with being paid like 1m over, but other than that, he proves his worth. Everyone just assumes that if you're not lighting it up, then you're not good. That's absurd because everyone has their play-style and roles on the team. To say you'd rather have Lucic over Anderson...come on now, talk about age (when 28 isn't even that old). I think what the other person is saying is that Anderson does have value and GM's would want someone like him, a 1st? Not sure, but something decent in return would come back. I don't watch Flames games, so I don't comment on who's ass and not ass because they can play an important role that I don't see on NHL Network's highlight reels.

As for help on this to the creator, I think there are too many pieces in the trade. Can probably get away with a decent prospect with a 2nd &amp; 3rd
