A player like that meaning a guy who took five years to be an nhl third liner, what leverage does his agent have he’s an rfa

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Samsoc222</b></div><div>The fact that they can wrap him up in a bridge deal for cheap while they have the cap space to do so. Also rewarding a player for a good year and taking the ease of his mind of not having to play for ur next deal year after year. Torts already plays enough mind games with players especially young ones. Making Frost play for his next deal year after year wondering if it’s his last is a mind game they don’t need to play.</div></div>
Frost has like 60 good nhl games under his belt, ok MAYBE they give him a second year but he’s not getting more than 2

Maybe Frost won't be part of the long term, but I doubt he gets traded during this offseason if he isn't.</div></div>
That’s fair but I don’t think the flyers give him more than a year long contract if they don’t trade him

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Samsoc222</b></div><div>I don’t think a single one of these trades makes the team better in the long or short run lol. Hayes has too much retention attached to him and Torts doesn’t like Roslovic so that trade wouldn’t happen as is. The TK trade is awful value we basically just give him away. Dallas, Boston, and Ottawa all definitely decline. Retaining $3M+ on Provy to only get a 1st back is brutal. I forgot there was a second Dallas deal, I also have no reason to believe that Dallas would have any interest in either of the deals. Also you underpaid York, Frost, and Cates for what they will get.</div></div>

Hayes has a lot of retention but the flyers shouldn’t be near the cap ceiling till that’s over, Roslovic can be subbed out of that trade for something else. Lambert is a top prospect and wpg’s pick will be higher than floridas, Provy wants out and I’d say take what you can get. Both Dallas deals serve as glorified cap dumps for Dallas similar to good ol schenn for Lehtera and two firsts, gave all three short term “prove it type deals as I’m not sold on giving them longer deals after all of them had one good season. I would be very open to upping the money and term on York and Cates but I think lower term lower value contracts are more likely to happen

Oh yeah but i got the feeling that since he wasn’t singing frosts praises like he was for players like TK tippet and cates he doesn’t see frost as a long term piece like he does those others

I could never get a read on torts liking frost. One game it seems he did the next not so much.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SKWPG</b></div><div>Honestly, WPG hasn't decided to my knowledge. They haven't made any moves yet and they haven't said anything. I believe a re-tool is what they want to do. They need to do the following: Trade / Get rid of Scheifele, Dubois and Wheeler. At minimum. Next is possibly trading Hellebuyck and maybe Kyle Connor. There is still a good solid core after that. So, if they trade most or all of what I listed for picks, then it's a rebuild / retool where they can move up some kids, etc. If they only trade a couple of those I listed, then re-tool that could bring back assets to keep going for it. But, in all of that, some assets like Lambert are NOT up for trade. Konecny would look great on the Jets and would be great for helping to mold the new kids. But Lambert is too steep of a price to pay for Konecny. Lambert is going to be a top 6 forward in the NHL who can play C and Wing, which makes him far more valuable to WPG.</div></div>
Lambert is magic beans. Who knows what you really have there. Plus wpg is basically getting one and a half firsts

More else most of these dumps have some form of clause that they will surely upkeep to not be sent to a rebuilding team.</div></div> while I would agree on the frost take for the most part, he’s not exactly beloved by torts so I could see him being shipped out

Imma be honest with you chief. Neither of those trades are in the realm of possibility. As much as I’d love them from the perspective of being a flyers fan, little to no value out for value in is not a recipe for success

Can this roster make it as WC2
The flyers trade is pretty heavy, but Atkinson is probably close to worth that first, and if JvR has a bounce back year and this trade is made around the deadline, and they take out the second and fourth and it’s not as overvalued

BBC-bring back Claude-plus pasta
It has been brought to my attention that the conditional pick on the pasta deal is a no-no. That being said I would upgrade it to philadelphias first in 2022 and no picks in 2024

Yeah that trade now that I’m looking at it isn’t as realistic as I had originally thought. Flyers would have to throw in a second round pick to get buffalo to even consider it
