Demko to LA
The 1st would need to be conditional on some performance metric from Demko. At least 10gp with a SV% above 905% or something. His poor performance and injury is too big of a risk to give up a 1st without some protection in case he can't get healthy.

Lou hits redial
Just riding the wave of unsubstantiated rumors but my guess is if Wahlstrom went it would be for a player a tier above Garland/Boeser. Something like Tarasenko or Meier (way less likely)

TDL moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Twtts</b></div><div>Feel like the Canucks could get more than that. Elite goalie still under contract for 3 more years</div></div>
Probably could. The Kings won't take the chance of potentially having two long-term boat anchor goaltender contracts on the books though, especially if they have to give up a 1st in the deal. He's only elite if he fully recovers from his injury without aftereffects.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Prime_Jimbo</b></div><div>I don't disagree about the health. He was likely not 100% and pushed through it. Sounds like he may be back shortly after the break.</div></div>
Vancouver can likely get more for him once he has a chance to showcase that he's healthy and still on top of his game. If Vancouver dumps all their valuable assets and tanks for Bedard, I can't imagine it's going to do his numbers (or trade value) any favors though.

Are The Canucks Really Off The Rails
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Prime_Jimbo</b></div><div>I think Clifton has played himself out of Boston $ wise. I'd prefer some shorter deals on RHD for UFAs. Some names that come to mind are Schenn or even paying a higher dollar to Jensen for a couple years. Maybe someone like Johansson or Woo surprises and make the jump. I'd just prefer to avoid term for an older dman this offseason. Maybe the following offseason once the cap is cleared up more.</div></div>
Clifton would be awesome for the Canucks. If he is available, thats an ideal fit IMO

Are The Canucks Really Off The Rails
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Prime_Jimbo</b></div><div>The defense is still terrible outside top pair. I wouldn't target Severson if I were them. Gavrikov, Graves and Clifton are interesting to me.
Throw in a Schenn trade for further draft capital.
I'd be pleased (and maybe it's down the road) if Raty centers JT and Mikheyev when the time comes for him to be in Van (probably next season).</div></div>
Funnily enough I was actually looking at both Graves and Clifton. I feel like Clifton will be resigned, but Graves will almost definitely be let go, I'm just not sure he moves the needle a lot for the Nucks. Gavrikov or Severson are the two I would pursue, but given Sevo plays RD, I picked him. Schenn will probably net you guys a fair bit of value as well. Raty is an absolute stud and I could easily see him stepping in as 2C. Hopefully things start looking up

Trying to be Competitive
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Prime_Jimbo</b></div><div>Just some thoughts... Dumba and Severson are overpaid. I'd be happy to see Graves in a Canucks uni. Let Raty play over Berbashev. Need money for young player deals like Petey etc. OEL would cost Van Bedard to dump lol Hope the ping pong balls are friendly to Van this year.</div></div>
Yeah, I meant to sign someone to a 1-year deal to wait for Raty but I got a little carried away. Everyone is overpaid but you gotta overpay at free agency

Where does Demko end up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Prime_Jimbo</b></div><div>Totally happy with that. I've gone a little crazy and done Hughes and Martin for Quick and Byfield. Now that the young C, Raty came back, happy to see demko for quick, solid young pieces even before a first if necessary. Tough to say. Love demko but worried about injury.</div></div>
His save above expected is at the bottom of the league and he has an .883 save percentage . I know the defence is bad and he’s had injury concerns but what gives

Im trying to hate this Carolina deal. But it seems okay.
To make the cap work and improve at the deadline in other places could we interest you in Teuvo, Drury and picks? Im assuming an extension is in place.

No chance the Jets trade PLD before the summer.
Horvat has no reason to sign an extension at this point of the season and why would he sign in Winnipeg when he can choose anywhere.

But this is standard for a rental. 1st, a “meh,” roster player for cap purposes, and a good, but not great prospect.</div></div>

I agree he's not likely to get the massive package that some people think but this is still an awful return. Lappiere had modest numbers in the Q and has had modest numbers in the AHL this year. He's got a long ways to go to become an NHL regular.
I guess awful is a little harsh. But that 2nd round pick would have to be a 1st round pick. Young C prospect + 1st + 3rd isnt unreasonable

Vancouver Canucks signed Andrei Kuzmenko (2 Years / $5,500,000 AAV)
Would've made more sense to trade him for at very least a first round pick. Canucks aren't going anywhere this year and are likely going to be treading water for the next two seasons.
Apparently him and Pettersson get along well so I've been under the impression that keeping him is apart of keeping Pettersson next season.

Alternate Trade with Vancouver
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Prime_Jimbo</b></div><div>I'm a fan of Boeser and am totally fine with his production. 25ish goals a season/50 points is solid. I wouldn't trade him with retention. I believe he is an asset and able to move in the summer. During the season, it's practically impossible.
That said, a 1st, 2nd and a young player that JR keeps going on about would probably be intriguing. The Foegele money is hard to digest though.
I think people are down on almost everything in Vancouver and given Boeser's goal scoring isn't on the same pace as prior years, he's getting flack too.</div></div>
Boeser would slot in well with EDM, his goal scoring is exactly what we need to round out our top 6 even more. I think he would also increase his production a lot in Edmonton.
Foegele would need to be in the trade as well for cap reasons, maybe it could be Yam's but then there would need to be other changes, plus Foegele's not a dump (probably just someone worth Future Considerations).
I like Vancouver a lot, they're fun to watch, but damn the JT signing somewhat forcing Horvat out probably dampened the room quite a bit.
Hopefully they get a good pick, tbh hopefully Bedard.

Dallas Supposed Interest
Looks like Kypreos is the one that's reporting it so I'm taking that rumor with a heavy grain of salt. I don't see Dallas parting with what Vancouver is going to want, all the while knowing that they have virtually no shot at re-signing him this offseason. Stranger things have happened before, but it just doesn't seem like the kind of move Jim Nill is prone to making.

I can only hope DAL doesn't do that, that'd be almost three firsts. Practically unheard price for a rental.
