Post Wilson Suspension Playoff Push Lines
IDK, with the way the team is playing I find it hard to convince myself any changes are needed. Oshie looks decent on the 1st and Miro looks super comfortable with Strome and Patches, I would find it hard to mess with what's working.

Condrix McMironard Superstar Spectacular Team
No reason to move Fehervary here, even if you do get Hanifin, since he's cheap and has term. Would also be shocked if UFA rights to him cost one, never mind 2 thirds.

24-25 Caps
Would much rather have Van Riemsdyk for 3 mil than Dumba for the same amount of money. TvR's versatility along with how he's played this year makes him much more attractive to keep than Dumba. Somewhat of the same thing for Zadorov, Fehervary has proven himself as a top 4 guy, and with Alexeyev and Bear already around and Alexeyev particularly playing decent, it makes Zadorov a bit of an unnecessary signing, especially when a larger need at forward exists (especially if Oshie's done after this year).

realistic
Think Caps decline here. Graves probably would end up behind Fehervary and Sandin, and they could use the 2nd to target someone else.

Caps decline here. Kane is likely not someone the Caps would target, especially with Lapierre, Miroshnichenko, and potentially Leonard being full time in the NHL next year.

Younger 24-25
Don't think the Caps will be super interested in Mangiapane with Miroshnichenko, Lapierre, and potentially Leonard all in the NHL next year to take up middle 6 roles. Think they'll be much more likely to target either a top line forward with all the cap space they'll have in the offseason if they look to improve the forward corp.

Leonard joins after BC wins it all
If Leonard does come over from BC at the end of the year, I think it's more likely Miro ends up on the 4th line (or out of the lineup completely) since I think they'll need the experience of Pacioretty on the line with Leonard. I'd say NAK probably ends up on the 4th line since his style of play fits better than Miro there and they let Miro play in the AHL until an injury happens. Would suck for Miro but I see him as the odd man out (which is fine, let him get as much playing time wherever he can and have him up full time next year).

Since Puckdoku rolled out custom grids today, I felt I had to make grids for my two favorite caps broadcasters. Enjoy (and maybe I'll make a Brent Johnson one if they bring him into the studio more).

Not a whole lot to complain about here. Jensen trade is interesting and not entirely sure Toronto goes for that, depends on how they see Suzdalev (product of Bedard? Legit prospect? CHL overachiever?). Pesce likely gets more though I would imagine.

Don't think the Caps will be in on Kuzmenko. Young guys on the roster all are impressing and there won't really be a spot for Kuzmenko on the roster with Miro, Lapierre, etc all likely up full time next year.

Not to speak for Sens fans but as I understand from those who've made similar proposals, part of it certainly would be to move salary, as well as concerns over the consistent injury history of Norris.

Caps Next Season
Honestly, Talbot and Rittich have both been better than Kuemper, and I don't know if a change of scenery will fix some of the core issues with Kuemper. Don't think the Kings will target Kuemper given his contract, especially when it seems they don't necessarily need a big name goalie to be successful.

Caps decline here. No space for Soderstrom in the NHL with Carlson, Jensen, Van Riemsdyk, and Bear, and the Caps aren't looking to part with either Stevenson or their 1st.

Picks the Caps have traded away

Quoting: qc14

Some of my biggest changes:
Cowan was WIDELY seen as a huge reach at the time, literally no one predicted the breakout he has had this year, knocking that deal up a bit in my eyes (even if Sandin hasn't been quite as good as expected as well)
Shattenkirk was the right move to make at the time and was the best Caps D that playoff run. Would also add that Copley and Sanford were considered pretty good pieces at the time and while both have had solid NHL careers, they never really panned out.
The Winnik move wasn't really for Winnik but more to get off of Laich's deal and Carrick, not the 2nd, was a bigger piece at the time -- they made the right call on that one
Your Glencross analysis is spot on though. On the Mount Rushmore of my all time least favorite Caps right next to Tim Gleason, Dustin Penner, and TFB

Read Tim Gleason and immediately got angry. I'd throw Justin Peters on this list too.

Nuts flush

Quoting: OldNYIfan

So let's elaborate on the discussion begun so insightfully but succinctly by Armstrongs_Burner and consider the offer the Buffalo Sabres would make if Pavel Buchnevich and Colton Parayko were somehow on the market in the same package:
1. Instead of an expensive veteran UFA, Buffalo could offer Henri Jokiharju, a 24-year-old RFA current roster player at half Brodie's cap hit who would be expendable due to the acquisition of Parayko.
2. Instead of a bottom-6 veteran forward who's reached his ceiling, the Sabres could offer Peyton Krebs, a 23-year-old RFA current roster player still on his ELC who would be expendable due to the acquisition of Buchnevich and the development of several of Buffalo's excellent forward prospects.
3. Speaking of which, Buffalo could offer any one of Jiri Kulich, Noah Ostlund or Matthew Savoie, all of whom are more highly-rated than Fraser Minten.
4. Instead of Jeremy Bracco 2.0, the Sabres could offer Isak Rosen, a former first-round draft pick.
5. Instead of a 2024 first that would be in the last third of the draw, Buffalo could offer their 2024 first, which is virtually guaranteed to be in the first third of the draw and therefore superior to both of the Toronto firsts put together.
So tell me: which package is the fart, and which package is the orgasm?

might have to add this into my every day vocabulary
