I've seen a few tweets in the past month saying he is using it as negotiating tactic to get more money. The wild are going to be pressed for money in 2-3 years after the buy outs last week. If he is looking for a large contract after only one NHL season, I doubt the Sabres would want to be the team the pays him, and I doubt he would want to sign with a team treading water at the bottom of the standings.

Also, as the current trade is laid out, there is no way that the Sabres would be adding. Minnesota would have to change up the package or get a 3rd team involved to take on Dumba.

While the front office clearly wants him out there are still quite a few teams interested per many big name insiders. Which will keep his value on par with or maybe slightly less than what I have proposed. Neck injury scary, for sure, but he is still very young and under team control for 5 more years.

Boy, some of you Duck fans think you can get Eichel without giving up anything. I have managed a way to work a trade that doesn't involve Zegras or Drysdale. Something has to give if Anaheim wants Eichel.

Not that the Sabres are any better than the Ducks at this point but it seems Gibson still puts up solid underlying number with a sub par defense in front of him plus he is still young for a goalie. I could see GMKA taking a swing at bringing him in so he has a solid goalie to lean on while their two prospects continue to develop in net. I also don't think Reinhart being traded is a sure thing. It's believed that people were reading to much in to his post season media interview and their may still be a way to rebuild that relationship. I won't be surprised if he is moved, but don't count him coming back completely out.
