Its just a big contract for a recently established solid NHL D man. He aint flashy so not sure how many people think he would be worth a $4M deal for 6 years. Like I signed so I think it would be worth it. I can understand if people would be a little skeptical of the deal.

Ya Marino would really have to make up for it one the right side and lean on cernak foote more. It not better but it should handle themselves fairly well. LD spot is open for a trade deadline or rando free agent.

on what you would think picks would look like, Cuz its kind of a wierd swap. It helps tampa keep their team other than a couple so its almost a win for them, probably not gunna have much money to sign Sergy anyways.

Ya this would assume Pettersson or whoever is moved from from left side. Would have to sign a RHD or trade for one. Sean Walker and Damon Severson may be options. Defintly needs to be making more moves if they do that, but i feel a good guy to have to help pass the torch when Tang is gone or if tang in gone. Marino is dope but Sergy could be even more dope, but Left Handed.

Your probably right though, CBJ would only do’z if it was a cap dump. I think someone would do that deal, but tough cap hit if he doesn’t produce

Overpay for Laughton.
Flames should keep Valimaki
Jarnkrok probably walks as Pelletier will be making the team next year
Lucic won't cost a 1st to dump (refer to Stralman)</div></div>
Gudbrasson proving he’s worth what’s he’s getting. Don’t see why he would take much less than what he makes now.
With the Jarnkrok ties I highly doubt he leaves.
Can for keep Valimaki, not really necessary just thought they should might want to draft someone this draft.
If I can keep one of the second round picks in the Laughton deal I would use that to shed Lucic. Monahans value is basically nothing, minus to some, if he needs like a year off to get healthy that may be the best thing for CGY, just toss him on LTIR next year. But trading him for a healthy body doesn’t sound cheap to me. Especially the fact he’s a UFA after next year.

What do you guys think
I dont think anyone is paying a 3rd for Dickison right now. After a better year yes. Not sure your getting a 3rd for poolman, but some like him and some dont. But he is right handed, doubt buff pays you a 3rd. I was thinking maybe the Devils for Poolman if they shed him since the Subbannator aint coming back.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letter_Kenny</b></div><div>I agree with you in that whichever team trades for Lindholm will have a great chance of re-signing him. But your trade offer won't get it done. It'll be higher and I don't believe Yzerman pays that.
It really depends which team acquires him. Do they have the cap space to pay him next season? Let's say it's Toronto. They have no cap space. He's not extending there. Rangers? They have lots of cap space. Well until the Fox contract kicks in. Flames? Is Johnny Gaudreau leaving as a UFA? If he stays then they have no cap space to extend Lindholm.
Red Wings have a ton of cap space and this gives them an advantage come UFA. Signing Lindholm and giving up no assets makes sense to me. I'm sure he'd listen to that Nick Lidstrom guy. 😉</div></div>
**** ya dawg! Love having the boys just running the show! Lindstrom just actually works at home in Sweden most of the time. I just hope our Left d get better. Not worse, I kinda can't take it anymore, but i will if i have to.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letter_Kenny</b></div><div>Not all of our prospects will pan out. But like Yzerman says, the more kicks we have at the can the better chances we have of hitting on them. Lindholm is 28 years old, right in his prime. He's a pending UFA and will get paid. Guys like him don't grow on trees. But we're too early in a rebuild to be fast tracking things. I don't believe in trading prospects just for the sake of trading them.</div></div>
I feel ya man, but with prospects we have had in the organization, i feel Steve has that eye to be like ya i could keep him, but may as well move on cuz he aint gunna be what i need when i need it.
i agree It is a bit too early for a Lindholm(type)! But would also be okay with him being a vet for us when we are dope and i like that old young balance.

I Like Lindholm alot, but I don't put him in that category. Maybe if he only signs a 3-4 year contract im down with that $8M. But to me $7M at the very max over 5-8 years.
Do you believe Mastro and Wally are actually going to be key cog to our future. They will be good players but man I dont see a place for them. Maybe Wallinder

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letter_Kenny</b></div><div>Why would Yzerman give up premium assets for Lindholm when he can sign him as a UFA this Summer? If he signs a deal with the team he's traded to then so be it. We have Seider with Edvinsson on the way. A rebuilding team doesn't make a move like this. Lindholm will be making much more than 6 mil AAV. More like 7.5-8 mil AAV.</div></div>
I have a feeling whoever is trading for him is going to extend him and id like it to be the wins. But if i have to pay him 7-8 Mill i aint doing it. Hes good but like my god, $8M? Are yiou serious? Is that whats rumored? Cu nobody's paying him that i can guarantee that. Unless its a team that will have no cap issues for the next how ever long you sign lindholm for 8 mill.

I feel ya, I know I wouldn't be blowing Verbeeks mind with this proposal. Does adding a DET 2nd get somewhere close? Im sure theres a prospect instead of Mastro that would work for them.

I hope Toews comes to the parries! Would love to see him in any of those three jerseys. As for the trade. Im worried about Vesalainen, his trade value seems very in the air right now. He needs to start showing a little extra for me to have a bit more confidence in his future.

Harpur has been playing like... well, Ben Harpur. There's decent potential in the A, but not a lot of experience. David Poile does love adding a big, slow, bottom pairing defenceman at every deadline.
Rads looks pretty washed. Can't see him holding down a top six role, NSH doesn't want to mess with the 3rd (Herd) line, and they're not hurting for 4th line wingers. Adding Kessel wouldn't hurt, but I can't see Radulov being of any help.</div></div>
:awesome Love depth d men that are themselves. The forward group is tough to add too other than the fact i think they need a right handed forward to complement the group. but really only 1 player or else guys arent playing that have made this team this team.
Also ya radulov is an odd fit here, is really having trouble scoring this year. Kessel always looks good in yellow.

They have an extra 3rd so I feel that’s gone for someone like radulov or kessel. Cuz like May as well add a vet fwd for cheap. I don’t see why the preds need defense? Is it just because of recent Injuries? Like the preds have lots of defensemen in the AHL that can fill the void for a bit.

Helping Sieder win the Calder. :) Dont get me wrong im not trying to convince you the radulov trade is anything more than filling fabbris spot for a month and a half. Hell id take radulov on if he costs peanuts like a 4th ish pick. something that i would get back for these guys anyway. I get what your saying, your not wrong, im not maximizing value for my assets.
