Bertuzzi to me is someone Leafs 100% need to target guy is one of the missing pieces. If you want JT on the wing go get Rodrigues. Guys from Toronto and to me would fit in nicely and cost less than ROR
And for the 4th line sign a league min to 1.5 mill LW</div></div>
Supposedly Bertuzzi could be looking at upwards of 6 mil if he hits Free Agency, plus I'm not convinced he's leaving Boston. I really can't see the Leafs getting the guy unfortunately. Guys like Foegele, Donato, and Holmberg all being regulars could help the Leafs IMO. Foegele is an extremely efficient forechecker, Donato's style would mesh well on the third line, and Holmberg is incredibly versatile. I'd personally like to see him assume the role of 3C

Agreed, but I'm starting to get the feeling that it's pretty much just going to be run back. Foegele also seems like the kind of hardworking forechecker that both Treliving and Keefe like, plus he is a decent buy low target and had some pretty good advanced stats in Edmonton.
Really hope we do something to address the scoring depth (in addition to a guy like Donato), and also that right side. Not sure Liljegren, Schenn, and Timmins could be consistently effective, granted they all have the tools to be. I just want the team to get younger, I think letting ROR walk would be best

Musty is a really great target for the Leafs, however I left him off of my list of wants because I just don't really see him being available at 28. Based on the type of player he is, expect a team with multiple firsts to scoop him up

Noted playoff team Ottawa Senators. You'd expect their RFAs to be willing to buy into the plan after their recent runs of unparalleled success, but I guess DeBrincat is just selfish 🤷♂️
On a serious note, there's nothing more pathetic than messaging that crap to players. People really have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. I can't even count how many Leafs fans wanted Sandin's head for him taking so long to sign only for it to come out that his mom was diagnosed with cancer. These guys aren't our saviors, they aren't just the guys on TV, they're actual people. Stay classy "DJ Out Season", stay classy

Mainly linked to this to dispute the whole narrative of PLD only attending the draft out of anticipation for a trade. Idk how that makes any sense or how anyone even backed it to begin with

1. WPG will do a sign and trade with PLD going to MTL for Dvorak + Picks/Prospects
2. Carolina will trade for Hellebuyck and extend him this will then lead to WPG trading for Ullmark
3. Kings will make another trade with Philly for Hart
4. Ottawa and NJ will do something like Huberdeau for Tkachuck but this time Debrincat for Bratt
5. Keller will be traded to Toronto
Hot take (probs wont happen)
Calgary will make a huge trade with Nashville that will see them turn Markstrom and a tonne of assets into Saros.</div></div>
Can't see the Habs paying such a steep price or the Yotes trading Keller. I think Toronto is genuinely a sleeper team for PLD. Carolina could also be a nice fit

Dubois is one of my least of my least favourite players, and I think it's a foregone conclusion that he'll be a Hab, but if he's open to coming to Toronto...
My hatred for him is partly why I want him here so bad. Solves our 2C issue as well. I love Niemela, but if he has to be moved for Dubois, then I'd do it

Going to be tough to get Korpisalo and Vilardi signed. Interested to see what LAK has up their sleeve.
Gavrikov is very good tough, and I'm glad LA kept him around. Obviously it seems very rich and the term is short, but I think it's still a decent signing depending on how they navigate the summer

I think the fact that he's an RD gives him the opportunity to burrow a way into the Leafs lineup. Niemela is significantly better defensively than Sandin ever will be, and there is some offensive upside. Really hope no one makes any dumb decisions in regards to Topi, he is exactly what we need

Like to me it really depends on the deal
My one untouchable rn is Knies as man that kid is gonna be something special.</div></div>
I know it's easy to trade Niemela over Knies given the fact that Knies has played in the NHL, but I firmly believe that Niemela will be just as (if not more) special than Knies. Niemela is everything the Leafs need on their blueline and more. The kid is one of the most dynamic defensemen I have seen in the Leafs system for a long time. Watching him with the Marlies was such a joy and made me that much more excited. If Arizona asked for Knies in a package to send the Leafs Keller, what would you say? That argument goes both ways.
Niemela is ridiculously good. He will be a top 4 defenseman sooner than later, and a damn good one at that. IMO, Niemela was the single best Dubas draft pick as Leafs GM and could potentially go down as the best draft pick he'll ever make. As much as I hate hyping up prospects, Topi is something special. He is a game changer.
