As new Armchair-GM now reflect 2026 draft picks, GMs are welcome to start creating and posting their pages for the 23-24 season. Please tag <a href="/users/flamesfan419" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@flamesfan419</a> in a comment on your page once it is complete.

Your team descriptions must, at minimum, include the following:

- Number of contracts and reserve list players (out of a maximum of 50 and 90, respectively)
- Full reserve lists
- Details of any salary cap adjustments (for any irl salary retentions or buyouts that don't affect the game)
- Any draft pick conditions

Players must have the correct cap hit AND term in the roster/long-term outlook pages. Trading and retaining for a player to get the proper cap hit but the incorrect term will not do, create a player with the name and correct contract details if needed.

Pages must be complete and posted by <strong>Saturday, July 15 at 11:59 PM.</strong> Failure to have your pages ready, or have complete team descriptions containing the information listed above, may result in your team being fined draft picks.

Couple of announcements:

Firstly, based on today's news that the cap will likely rise $1 million IRL, we are tentatively setting the in-game salary cap for 2023-24 at <strong>$84.5 million</strong>. In the event the IRL number changes, we will set our cap to be $1 million higher than IRL.

Secondly, regarding contract extensions and where to post them, we wanted to clear some things up so that everything is going in the right place.

- If you intend on matching an IRL contract that hasn't been signed yet, please post the player in the <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/595388">contract matching thread</a>. Once you post a player in this thread, you cannot back out or renegotiate if you do not like the contract they end up getting.

- Lastly, please include all your contract extensions in your team descriptions for ease of access.

As the IRL salary cap has now been set at $83.5 million, we can confirm that the in-game salary cap will be $84.5 million for the 2023-24 season.

Sujet: 2023 GM Game Entry Draft
Welcome to the 2023 GM Game Draft. This thread will be used to make your selections. Please ensure your posts include your team, the pick number, and the player's name, and please keep it at 1 post per pick, so that the post numbers on the thread match the pick number.

Teams will have 1 hour to make selections in the first round, 30 minutes for rounds 2 and 3, and 15 minutes for rounds 4 through 7. The draft will begin on 6/19/23 at 10 AM Eastern and will close each night at 11PM Eastern.

The BOG can make a selection on your behalf if you are unable to sign on during your draft window. To send in a list of players you want selected at a pick, please message a BOG member in advance. If you miss your window and do not submit a request to the BOG beforehand, your pick will be assigned from the auto-draft list.

You may make your selection as soon as the previous selection has been posted in the entry draft thread (this one), but you will not be required to make your selection before your window expires, regardless of the "banked" time that may be created by selections in front of you.

A list of the players drafted in-game last year, but not irl, is in the draft spreadsheet. It is each GM's responsibility to ensure they are not picking a player who has already been selected, either last year or earlier on in this year's draft. If a GM selects a player who's already been drafted, they will be assigned the BPA based on the list in the draft spreadsheet.
