This is pretty much the perfect answer haha. I like the idea of moving Couture to Hertl's wing or vice versa as well. They can both play wing and I think consolidating our offensive fire one line wile bolstering our center depth is a good idea. The 2nd line is very solid, and the defense is (in my opinion) pretty much exactly what it needs to be pairing-wise. We definitely need a goalie who can at least split starts so I like Talbot as an option in that respect if he signs for that price. The 3rd line is good too if Leonard has a good training camp and if Leivo can stay healthy. I just wonder how much Eakin actually signs for. Cause he had a pretty bad year, but I think he knows that he probably deserves more than $1.5 million. I almost wonder if Jumbo at 3C for 500k less would be a better deal. I dunno. Just kind of thinking out loud. But anyway yeah let's hope Doug can pull something like this off.

I think Marleau is an easy swap for Rieder. I like the idea of trading from the one spot of surplus in the organization (LHD), but would like to see it in more of a hockey deal (unless the wizard DW can move Vlasic somehow). An idea that I have thrown around in my head that admittedly sounds crazy is the idea of trading Ferraro (hear me out).

With a cap crunch league wide, Ferraro would hold insane value as a young 4/5 D-Man on an ELC for 2 more seasons. Obviously the same reason I want to keep him on the Sharks, but with out lack of high end prospects and picks, Ferraro+Secondary piece instantly helps us land a top 6 forward while also being able to be replaced by Paschniuk (who by all accounts is physically ready for the NHL). I would obviously rather move the Vlasic money and LD-spot and keep Ferraro, but just thinking he is a guy that can actually yield something of substance in a trade and free up the log jam that is the LD spot in the organization.

I really really don’t like the idea of trading Ferraro . Not easy to get players like him

I mean I think that Labanc’s ceiling is definitely higher than Jarnkrok’s (and he’s younger) but Jarnkrok’s contract is pretty unreal. 2 mill for 3 more years? Yes please. Add that to the fact that he’s a good 2-way 30-40 point player with a good shot and you’re looking at a pretty valuable player. I think you’re underrating him a bit, but even with the 3rd taken out, the Sharks gladly accept.

He'll need a year in the AHL by the looks of it but considering the lack of depth in the sharks goaltending depth chart he should secure some solid playtime in the AHL while working with Nabakov. Should he adapt to the North American game he could have 1B potential maybe even full-time starter potential, depends on his development over the next year though. Great signing for the sharks' low-risk high-reward gamble</div></div>

Since when is 6’1” undersized? With I’m stoked on this signing Nabby is probably the sole reason we got the kid! I see starter potential from this kid! More than with any of our other prospects
