More fodder. Could be any team with a 7th round pick to throw at Conroy.

Yeah, Canes pass, and rather easily. I’ll take KK at 4.8mil any day over PLD at 8.5mil.

Sabres AGAIN
This heavily favours Buffalo more than Vancouver. With this type of trade it should be returning us a far more better player. Easy pass

As someone who doesn't want or see a need for a player like Kuzmenko, I don't think we should even consider paying for him. If VAN comes to KD and says "We need to move Kuzmenko's contract to make some other moves and we are willing to pay for it." Then i think that is something CHI should absolutely have interest in.
I won't act like an expert on the internal workings of CHI's front office, though. I could see a scenario where KD could see things differently and be willing to buy him on the cheap. Which if it is something like a 3rd or later and/or a cheap depth player, I think that would be acceptable. But anything more just isn't a move a rebuilding team like CHI should be making, for various reasons.

Thank you for being a realist. I'm sure there's a trade to be had as long a both teams keep things in perspective. Vancouver's #1 goal is to gain cap space while attempting to maximize Kuzmenko's return but the emphasis is on the cap space. I don't view him as a pure cap dump so something between a 3rd or 4th is what I personally feel is what Chicago would value him as. Maybe a pick and a "B" prospect like Teply or Hardman. Maybe even the rights to Basse although I hope he's signed after his season ends.

Easy pass Canucks.</div></div>
Chicago needs stop gap players, so it will work and furthermore, Chicago's intent can easily be to retain on him and flip him at the TDL

Here's the article that explains the situation in full: <a href="https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2832980" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Jiricek frustrated with AHL demotion</a>
He's got a right to be frustrated, management has completely bungled his year and deserve to be fired for many other things as well. He's gotten essentially no PP time...or NHL ice time...or AHL ice time, because he always gets called up and scratched. Dude just needs to play.

What the Blues paid for Hayes is entirely irrelevant, bud. And the Blues won't be ditching Hayes AND retaining a silly amount for multiple seasons for peanuts at this time, thanks.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Traptor</b></div><div>Yew he's a rental. You could but then you won't have him for playoffs this year.
Playoffs aren't guranteed every year. When your team is rolling you give them the best chance you can to win a cup without mortgaging the future. It's not like this trade is cripling your future. Raty is like you're 10th best RFA/prospect.
If you can't understand the value of a reas9nably priced rental then nothing I'll say will convince you.</div></div>
Your opinion. What YOU need to understand is Benning is no longer GM.We dont have assets to waste. That is My opinion.

Whats Hanifin worth
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>Problem is everyone knows Hanifin wants to sign with Boston this summer.
So Boston isn't going to pay Calgary what he's worth even as a rental.
Other teams know they have no chance of signing him to a contract extension.
There's what Hanifin should get and what he will get.
Unless Hanifin is traded to Boston he's a rental.</div></div>
I always love these rumors about everyone wanting to play where they are from or played before. The reality is it only happens in a handful of situations. So I don’t believe it’s Boston or nobody, especially if another team is willing to offer more money.

Laine Value
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dk325</b></div><div>He's 25...
For OP, I really don't know. I know what I think of him, his scoring ability, and his improvement as a 200 ft player over the last 3 years and his advanced stats show that improvement on every source I can find. What I think of him though clearly does not line up with the hockey community in general and beyond that I have no idea what GMs around the league think of him. HIs shot is still clearly respected around the league as he's routinely rated as one of the most threatening shots to face by goaltenders. I would hope he could get the Jackets a good young wing prospect and a 1st, but who knows what he would actually return in a trade.</div></div>
I think the problem is the teams who have a first late enough to give don't have the cap space to take the full contract, and those that have the cap space have a first that's way too high to surrender for a guy with that much risk attached to his contract with his injury history.
Kind of in a bit of a pickle on that.

Do they consider it
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vancity2196</b></div><div>Kuzmenko to NSH won't work.
NSH already has good goal scorers and why do they need Kuzmenko?
It makes no sense.</div></div>
NSH absolutely needs depth scoring. NSH has a total of 7 players who have over 20 points at the halfway mark of the season. NSH is being carried by their top line of Forsberg - ROR - Nyquist as well as Josi. NSH has a couple of guys who could start scoring more like Tomasino, Evangelista, and Novak, but NSH needs some middle six snipers and I'd be willing to try Kuzmenko especially considering worst case scenario NSH retains on him and sells him next deadline.
