Love this. Can tell you know puck.
(this is the only issue and its minor) Gotta get Xhekaj on the bottom pair tho, as much as analytics are important, his intangibles are actually huge for the team, he'll never back down from anyone, and will make players think twice.

You have yet to use any quantitative evidence besides claiming he is a 25 goal scorer, despite only accomplishing that feat once. This is crazy.
Im not blind enough to say the Horvat deal is good-- it sucks.</div></div>
hes 84% EV offence this year what are you even talking about. Sure he can't play a full 82 games, that's about all that's wrong with him. He's not a shutdown defensive forward, he's a power forward.

many teams around the league could use anderson at 5.5 if they werent so stupid with other contracts, includnig montreal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kyle_Okposo_Lover</b></div><div>lmao okay sorry that you wrote it in a confusing way
Anyways, Anderson STILL sucks lmao. He isnt a 25 goal scorer. Hes scored 25+ goals ONCE. There are 125 players who outscored him this season. Hes literally a signifigantly worse Daniel Sprong. who was placed on waivers a year ago and is going to make a mil next year.
And this is just one example</div></div>
the islanders could use a guy who knows how to make things happen on his own and bring energy to a game. What a pathetic performance against the injured canes. but no, you would prefer horvat at 8.5 million for the next 8 years.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kyle_Okposo_Lover</b></div><div>LMAO ANDERSON>PLD?
Anderson has scored 25+ ONCE. He isnt a 25 goal forward. IDC if he was "on pace" this season, he got hurt. Big guys get hurt more. This year wasnt an outlier, every year he misses games
And even if he scored 25 every year, he wasnt even top 125 in goals this season! Its not some hot commodity. This is actually so funny thanks for this</div></div>
what? I never said Anderson is better than PLD? Didn't know you were that delusional.
I said I would like the habs to keep Anderson if the plan is to pick up dubois because I think the habs would be able to take a serious step forward next year with both of them on the roster among everyone else.

if I need to explain how a 28 year old power forward who consistently scores at a 25 goal pace when healthy, making 5.5 mil, is valuable to a hockey team, I would need to have all day.
For the record, if the habs are picking up Dubois this offseason, I would rather keep Anderson anyways so I don't really care if you think hes worth this return or not.

There were 260 skaters who had more points that Anderson this season. Yet, Anderson is getting paid like a premier player. and fyi, forwards prime years are typically 23-27, and age 30 normally proves to be the beginning of the end for forwards typically.
Come on man. Hes also a negative defensive asset. Hes been below average defensively his entire career, having just a couple of average defensive seasons.</div></div>

Man you guys are slow... He's scored at a 25 goal pace for the past 5/6 seasons... If you want to have a knock on him, you could at least say he can't stay healthy. He makes 5.5 million until he's 33 years old, AKA the rest of his prime years. Not sure how that's a bad contract lol, but keep wasting your time chirping Anderson!

Big body who scores is great for a playoff run, but making over 5 mil with term for such little production is insane. Like what if I said Josh Bailey could warrant a 1st because he has "intangibles" and has experience? Its ludicrous</div></div>

most likely outcome in my opinion is a 2nd liner for Roy, worst case-a-nario he's just a useful 3rd liner. His hockey IQ is too good to not pan out as a somewhat impactful NHLer, never mind his above average puck handling, shooting and passing.

petterson's floor was pretty clearly an NHL player. It's pretty easy to project certain players to be NHLers 2-3 years after their draft year. Its by no means arrogant.

yes it is. I guess you could say his floor is never making the NHL but if were being realistic there's a much higher chance that he ends up a 3rd liner than an AHLer. Therefore as of right now his floor is looking like a 3rd liner.
He's got every attribute of a successful NHLer, and the production go along with it. He's proven twice at the WJC that hes just as good playing on the 4th line than he is playing with Conor Bedard on the first.
