2 TDL moves and offseason part 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>newballcoach</b></div><div>A 2nd is way too much to give up for Patteryn IMO. He's a third pairing guy, Toronto doesn't need that and doesn't need to spend a high draft pick to get it.
DeSmith makes too much sense for Toronto not to be knocking the door down. Not sure what the holdup is, maybe they want a bigger return?</div></div>
Just thought Ceci would need a good pick to go back, that’s what people commenting on my GM’s keep telling me when I only send a 4th and him for a 6th

Wild Trade
I’m fine with dumba, but I’m really liking the rielly-Barrie pairing as the offensive unit and the muzzin-holl pairing has been surprising a really good shutdown unit so finding a guy to play 15-16 mins a night and be a shutdown guy with sandin would be great, maybe patyrn would be nice.

That might be a bit to much, I sound say Luke green(RHD d prospect) roslovic and a 2nd round pick

Ok sorry I will redo this
Picks are pointless in the isles trade unless leafs send a higher pick, Mikeyev a second and Scott for a strictly pk driven defence man is awful that’s all Dillon is good at, Manson trade I prefer to send kapanen over Johnsson

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Trickster</b></div><div>What facts say Georgiev is a starter?
Isn't he losing backup starts to another goalie now?</div></div>
He is being used as these bait, lundqvist won’t waive NMC and they have a guy that’s really young who is the future franchise goalie, Georgiev is 30-27-6 in 66 games with a 3.02 GAA and a .913 save % he is average but has developed year after year into a quality goalie and give it 2 years he will be a quality starter who will be cheaper and the leafs can then sign a quality backup to split time like in Chicago.

To be honest I’m 100000% doing the rangers trade, I fully agree he’s a starter now and has performed well so he will most certainly be a good starter in 2 years, hainsey would be a good pk guy again on the third pair with dermott and the deal with Detroit I’m fine with if that’s what it takes to move ceci any one would be stupid to decline any of these

I already know that, not cause of the teams because of the taxes here But to play with McDavid for 2 months I’m sure he would waive it he could become a better player and possible get more money if he does u never know

There’s no way in hell that he has every Canadian team on his list, leafs, canucks, jets, oilers and Calgary are every bit still in or are in playoff positions, he will accept a trade to those teams but just wouldn’t sign there

Ik that the value is off but trying to get at the players going to the oilers. They fit the rosters needs really well, MORE OFFENSE. Getting Kreider who hits, scores and plays defence would help them and deangello is a great play making defender who can still play defence. Who would u be sending back to the rangers value wise?

RHD with term
If we trade liljegren we need a young guy like deangello who is offensive to fit the roster but can play defence as well, Johnson won’t go it’s either kapanen or kerfoot(he really hasn’t worked out for the leafs, better as winger though) Johnson-Tavares-Nylander line has been great together like the hyman-Matthews-Marner line

Drop Robertson and Harpur, add Minnesota sending over a depth player (Seeler?) and it's still a bad trade for Toronto but closer to fair value. It does give Toronto nice 1-2-3 center depth for 2 playoffs, but if they move Kapanen they better be getting a defenseman with term coming back.</div></div>
Personally would love to see a kapanen and some for deangello and georgeiv but that won’t happen

Marner is 6 foot 175 pound and he still goes out there and hits people if the opportunity arises I’m sure sda will be fine that way his skating has improved and I’m sure he will try harder in the offseason to really become a great player

4WAY - MTL TOR PIT
Barrie, kapanen, Bracco
For
Petry, bean 2020 4th
U have undervalued every single guy in the trade. Barrie is not having the best season but is still performing well and his cap hit for a guy like him is amazing, kapanen is performing offensively well not defensively well but he’s still worth something cause he is young and has potentially, Bracco is just stuck on the leafs who are backed up on the wing he could have been called up last year or arguably 2 years ago but leafs are already good Petry is 1 guy who is worth kapanen and maybe a mid round pick alone so adding Bracco and Barrie is not fair what so ever

you probably gotta break it down to what each individual player is worth.
Zucker - First and a third (or equivalents). He offered 2021 first, simon, probably gotta add a tad more
Brodin - minimum 2 firsts + maybe a prospect and someone to take his spot. He offered 2022 first (probably gotta chance to 2020), POJ (first rd pick, but not highest value), Hallander (2nd rd pick, injured rn so low numbers), Johnson (bad contract but has been decent this year, Guerin was in pittsburgh when the signing happened so he probably doesn't mind him).
I like it, it's close. Thoughts?</div></div>

How about larsson straight up for Kapanen?
