I was critical of Mouganel for the way he was handling Lysell, but it looks like he’s taken the “me first” Lysell and cracked the code with him opening up actual possibilities for the kid with plus skating, shooting, agility, and passing.
Also, I’m inclined to give Alec Regula a shot. Hes been, IMO, the best defenseman in the AHL and frankly provides a degree of physicality that I think the team is looking for. I think we’ve learned with Parker Wotherspoon not to underestimate performance at the AHL level.</div></div>
We don’t have cap space or roster room to give either a shot right now

Unless Minny wants to extend Grizz and he’s willing, considering their cap situation next year don’t see it at all, there is nothing there for them.
Henrique with that much retention will cost a 1st, or a 2nd with a decent prospect. Not a pile of trash.</div></div>
Minny gets 2 young depth guys for cheap and an NHL dman who they could look to extended for two UFAs and a mid pick.

That would essentially be the route taken if they were to send him down. Right back for black ace in playoffs

Because we have history to look at. Krug was not resigned because we had gryz. Gryz will not be resigned because we have lohrei and decline in play/injuries. Use that old noggin

I think he's been pretty banged up, but he's been awesome for the bruins for the past five seasons, drawing a lot of top pair duty. If he gets healthy and plays like he usually does, I can absolutely see sweeney giving him another three year ticket. actually, i think it's more likely than not. 100% gone is preposterous.</div></div>
He is a 30 year old small dman with shoulders held together by twine and glue. He has been a very good Bruin and great with Mcavoy but he was scratched in the playoffs and play has declined. his time is over here. He would’ve been extended already. I will put money on 100% gone

Marchand - Coyle - Debrusk
Zacha - Poitras - Pasta
Freddy - Geekie - Lysell
Merk/Lauko - Beecher - Heinen</div></div>
Merk isn’t a 4th liner. And Lysell will have to earn it out of camp not ready to project him in lineup yet

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>i like the overall concept of letting Grzelcyk walk in favor of Hanifin. I'm cool with that term given Hanifin's age.
There are a couple of things I wouldn't be happy about with this roster moving forawrd.
First off, Heinen deserves a raise. He'll get it.
I think it's pretty clear that Ullmark will not be with the team beyond next season. I really think the team has to get some assets, and let sway take over the net.
I would much prefer an option other than Smith as the 7D.
I also think Sweeney has to get an extension done for Frederic in this off-season. I don't think the number is going anywhere but up.</div></div>
Gryz is 100% gone. Heinen makes 775k right now so technically a raise but I hear what you’re saying maybe 1.2 not giving him more. I believe Ullmark will be here. Smith is a good 7th D but you also have other kids who could take a jump. Ragula/challahan 2 best dmen in providence this year

Freddy has one more year left on his deal so his extension doesn’t matter but will come at some point

1. age. he'll be 30 at the beginning of next season, and generally speaking sign seven years for a forward that age is a really bad idea, especially at $9M
2. the player - I think he's very good, but I don't think he's that 40 goal guy, I think he's the beneficiary of playing with crosby.
3. the fit. look at those wingers. LW is where you're investing your money? doesn't make much sense.</div></div>
The 30 year old thing is fair. Don’t think it apply as much to smaller players that don’t bang a lot.
Product of Crosby also very fair could be would have to find his production without Crosby somewhere. Not sure where to find that
I’m not understanding how he doesn’t fit tho. Debrusk has shown he can play either side and is almost exclusively right side now. Marchand has 1 maybe 2 years left. LW is a need

It gives you more room to upgrade the D and find a center.
I think the Pens absolutely have to sign Guentzel, but I would love to have him.</div></div>
I am not in the trade Ullmark camp. Run the tandem again (unless it falls completely on its face in playoffs then we can have a different talk) and Im not entertaining a C. I am upgrading wing or upgrading the D. E. Lindholm isn’t the guy and any trade will cost too much. If you run coyle/zacha and load up their wings it’s perfect. Or you load up the defense

Guerin’s entire reasoning behind moving JEE is wanting to get cheaper at center fueled by having 15m in buyouts on the books for another year. With Rossi and Hartman more than capable of holding down the top 6.
Boston has Geekie who is 3.2m cheaper. An option. Has 21 points in last 27 games and has proven more than capable of playing a middle 6 center role in the NHL. Poitras 4.3m cheaper, an option. 1 of them along with draft picks and Merkulov, an NHL ready cheap option for a scoring middle 6 role, it fits right in the wheelhouse of what they would want in return for JEE.</div></div>
