<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logan_Ollivier</b></div><div>Canuck fans dream of Garland being as good as Nylander but the results speak for themselves. Garland is a good player. No question, but so is Kerfoot. There is little to differentiate between the two. Apart from some extra versatility Kerfoot offers by being able to play centre, and he also makes 1.5 less. That's all that matters from the Leafs point of view. It's a lateral move that costs more cap space.</div></div>
Leafs fans dream of Nylander being better than Miller and actually being able to get out of the first round. Garland produced 2.62 points per 60 at even strength, which ranked 28th in the NHL. Garland has a long term team friendly contract for a top 6 winger with great analytics. Garland had to play with Jason Dickinson while Kerfoot played with Tavares and Nylander most of the year. If Kerfoot is so good like you say, why do so many Leafs fans want to trade him, and why do so many want Garland to replace him?

Give me REASONABLE offers for Marino bc yall want him so much
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cooliny</b></div><div>I don't understand why people are saying Marino is worth more than Garland in a 1 for 1 swap, or Garland had a bad season. Even though he had a slump midway he still pushed play very well</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>Give him powerplay time and be easily puts up 65-70. He got 50 points without any PP time this season and has some of the best analytics and 5v5 play in the league
Marino on the other hand has had a very mediocre to borderline disappointing season. His value mostly stems from the fact that he plays RD which is valued across the league</div></div>
I think it might be the whole “defensemen are more valuable than forwards” garbage but they are pretty close to equal value tbh… lowkey Marino is more valuable TO PITTSBURGH tho bc if letang walks we have LITERALLY no one to play RHD… So that’s why all PIT fans are so reluctant to part with our Harvard kid

JT Miller please
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>Calgary is going to have to pay a lot more than other teams to acquire Miller because they are one of the closest divisional rivals.</div></div>
Not a lot more, but definitely more.
This offer is the equivalent of: 1st + 1st (Zary) + 2nd (Dube) + 2nd (Valimaki) + 2nd
VAN gets 2 young players for the active roster, plus Connor Zary. A very young package, plus 2 extra picks. And for a guy who only has 1 year term left. I think it would be subject to Miller signing an extension with CGY, but this is a great package for where VAN is currently in their build for a playoff team.

Did Thanos snap Demko to dust or something? Also, nobody is giving that up for a washed goalie anyways.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sean4417</b></div><div>A Chicago sports writer just wrote about this as a trade thats being discussed with Toronto. This is one on them... value wise it looks to be just about what Dubas would make</div></div>
Aside from the two firsts, that's a poor return for DeBrincat alone, and even with the two firsts, it seems below value for him, especially with retention. And then you're getting four years of Murphy and practically Dach's entire career, which might turn out to be late-blooming like Puljujarvi. I'd be very suspicious of any reporter's <strong><em>bona fides</em></strong> if that was the actual deal Chicago was even entertaining.

LEAFS ACQUIRE MILLER TO PUSH FOR CUP
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>If you’re suggesting Kerfoot Robertson Niemala, a first and a second for Miller 50% retained, I think the Canucks should take that</div></div>
Well I wouldn't send the 2nd, personally but I think 1 year of Miller at such a low cap hit would certainly make TO absolutely terrifying.

The trouble with Nylander is he a UFA in two years. Vancouver shouldn't be giving away 1st round picks (and more) for him.

LEAFS ACQUIRE MILLER TO PUSH FOR CUP
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>Damn bro does that mean ALL your players are good? Yes you have good players but I don’t see great players in this deal that Vancouver would want. Try agaon</div></div>
It's definitely not what I think would be enough to get it done. Unless your GM values Hirvonen, replace him with Niemela and add a 2nd and retain half of Miller's cap and that is a good deal. Anything more and you are just out to lunch. Miller is a rental, unless you can find a dummy GM who is willing to sign him long term on his biggest ever contract at the age of 30, you're expectations are ridiculous

Toronto's cap issues are not Vancouver's problem . If Horvat was on the trade market it would be a bidding war and the offers would be much greater than this meager offer.
