<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Theozler</b></div><div>I think both teams probably would be reluctant. Eichel is better than petey but injury issue. Hughes is currently better than dahlin but I think dahlin has more upside</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheAlien</b></div><div>Canucks say hell no you think we're gonna trade our franchise for a guy with a shattered neck</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>The_Rocket</b></div><div>I doubt Vancouver is inclined to do that in anyway, given all players involved ages, injury history, contract statuses, and abilities. Does not make Vancouver a better team but would be a PR nightmare</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>Eichel: older, has a neck problem, probably wants out as soon as the Canucks have a losing record
Dahlin: pretty good but I prefer Hughes</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yeboi6</b></div><div>hughes is better than rasmus lol and petey is more reliable than jack in a 82 game schedule van wouldnt make this</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skyraider112</b></div><div>If there were no injuries involved Sabres would never take that. When healthy Eichel is more valuable than Pettersson because of his speed and ability to takeover a game which is not something Pettersson can do, at least not on the same level. Hughes has had more success offensively in the NHL but keep in mind he has played on a better team. Dahlin's skill base isn't just offensive like Hughes, he is a complete two-way defenseman. Dahlin will hit his stride within the next year or two and will grow into that elite franchise D man that he was drafted for.</div></div>

No one wants to point out how completely ridiculous the Beauvillier offersheet is? First, he doesn't sign that. Second, it's Buffalo. No one is willingly signing an offersheet from Buffalo. They can't even get UFAs.
Finally, if he does sign it's the easiest match in the history of sports.

Also...4 offersheets at once in a league where they almost never happen...this is just so very bad...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habs_need_Scoring</b></div><div>no i find it funny that the 3 or 4th piece of a trade would be a deal breaker because it brings too much depth to one position. Buffalo needs to accumulate assets if a trade brings you two or three pieces you need and a solid LD prospect then its still a solid deal and provides more options for management. Not saying Eichel should be traded for four dman, but to dismiss trades and harp on the fact that it includes a LD prospect is a little ridiculous.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Duggysdanglers</b></div><div>I’m pretty sure Power is going back to Michigan next season. At the end of the day, these are all assets and can be flipped. If the Flames had an equivalent RD to offer than it would be in there. Have to focus on BPA.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sabres89</b></div><div>You find it funny that a team with 2 recent first overall picks (dahlin and power) plus 3 of their top prospects (samuelsson, ryan johnson, and jacob bryson) that are all left handed d- that they wouldnt want to add another one when shipping out their franchise center? That team is going to struggle to hit 150 goals this year, they are bleeding for high end forwards (prospects or young players for time-line reasons). Hey if you think thats funny, different strokes and all that, its not my cup of tea. But dane cook and the puppet guy still make money so what would i know?</div></div>

If you're over loaded at a position (say, LD) everyone in the league knows it and you're dealing from a position of weakness. So no, Sabres have zero reason to get an left handed defenseman back. None.
