<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Isles10</b></div><div>I know all of this, its not based on objective value, just what I want to see. I still think Karlsson could be an offensive-only impactful player in a short tournament, especially playing next to one of the leagues best defensive defenseman in Brodin. I think Arvidsson could have a rebound year playing with Kopitars elite playmaking. If not, hes not in.

Regarding Pettersson and Nylander; its a small sample size. And I believe they could work just great with each other, feeding of each others strengths. Its weird to see playdriving as something negative in this case, thats what you want your best player in every top-6 role to be able to do.</div></div>

Top 6 is obvious. That’s why it’s great to split them. It’s not necessarily that they cannot play together, the question is if the team becomes stronger or not, if you do. Our opinion/guess here may differ. As Zib also is a strong playdriver, and I would love to see physical strength in one wing in the two top lines. Also Nulander played very well with Backstrom who sees little to no decline.
With Arvidsson, I hope you are right, that he reaches good form to be a strong contributor on his own and that coaches are not blinded by numbers in too large part generated by Kopitar. I believe it is likely they will demote him if he isn’t strong though so it will be easy to judge anyway. In my experience or observational guess, it seems once a player is in decline about 90% of the time or so they never come back to form, but continue downward. However, if the real problem is just injury, and hd is truly healthy now, perhaps we can hope for that resurgence. I prefer players in form either way, instead of big names.
With E Karlsson I cannot completely disagree with your reasoning, just to say he can be very bad when bad. And Sweden is loaded with defence that don’t make a lot of mistakes if they step in. Here again, I hope he is completely injury free and finds his old self, and deserves a spot. It would be fun in that case to see a pairing of Hedman-Karlsson playing 25 min a game.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BallPuckFellow10</b></div><div>You answered your own question. Sweden brings in players that might be out of form. I am speaking strictly on what they tend to do and have done in the past. Would I personally do the same? No definitely not. I am very aware of the downfall of Karlsson and OEL. They are not the same players as they once were but to suggest they might just get limited roles on this team is just uninformed and wrong. Rakell had literally no one to play with this past world championship. Look at past tournaments when he played with good players for Sweden, his stats are insane, but I guess you didn't want to bring that up. It's not like I said Eriksson Ek won't have a chance to be on the team, it is just that we have other players like Backlund that has more experience playing such a role for us. My team would 100% include JEEK. Your opinion about Larsson is just completely wrong. If you did a little bit of research you would know that he was exposed as the Oilers knew they weren't going to be able to resign him. He wanted to leave. He signed for $4Mx4, something he could have got if he stayed in Edmonton. He is not on some decline like you are talking about, he is one of the league best defensive defenseman and has had an upward trajectory for the last 3 years, I suggest you start watching some of his games. Arvidsson is someone that would come in as an energy player. It doesn't matter if he isn't in goalscoring form. What he does for Team Sweden is to bring energy with his work rate and determination. It is something that spreads around to the team in a positive way. The same applies with Hörnqvist. He brings good energy to the team in a different way from Arvidsson.

Höglander could be invited to camp to see and learn from all the Swedish pro's, same with Jesper Bratt. They won't be on the team, that is for sure. Not unless one of them really breaks out and becomes close to a ppg player. I would say Bratt has a bigger chance than Höglander.</div></div>

You are doing the mistake you claim I did, much more so. I laughed so much I cried when I read your reasoning and escape route with your silly reasoning lol Especially pretending people to be posting teams only as they believe Sweden would “look” and not what they think they should look hahah…Energy player, your miscalculation of JEEK, Rakell’s play at WC, close to ppg player etc Anyway, I am still laughing as I am reading this but unfortunately I won’t spend anymore time considering you, simply not any time to think about silliness... I doubt I will look in here in this thread again lol haha

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BallPuckFellow10</b></div><div>This couldn't be further from what Team Sweden would be lol. I am from Sweden and Erik Karlsson is the captain of the team, there is absolutely 0% chance that he doesn't play unless he is injured. Hampus Lindholm would also not play, Adam Larsson would be selected ahead of him. Höglander? no way, he is too young and hasn't produced close enough to the numbers to be selected. Our lineup would look completely different from this. I suggest you do some research next time you do one of these.

Landeskog (A)-Bäckström-Nylander
Forsberg-Petterson-Lindholm
Rakell-Zibanejad-Burakovsky
Karlsson-Backlund-Hörnqvist
Arvidsson, Eriksson Ek and Silfverberg could potentially make the lineup or be depth forwards.

Hedman-Karlsson (C)
OEL (A)-Klingberg
Ekholm-Larsson

Brodin, Dahlin, Lindholm and Andersson would battle for the extra spot. Would likely go to Dahlin as he is the future of our Swedish defenseman.

Markström
Lehner
Ullmark</div></div>

Are you following the NHL at all, lol? Erik Karlsson has been injury ridden and terrible last couple of years. I agree he has a shot of participating even though he is, at present, a huge liability. Sweden is after all a country that brings in players with no form at times, the problem this time is that there are much better options. Rakell played the last WC and was useless and haven’t really been lighting up the NHL either last season. Eriksson Ek that you on reserve was voted 4th for Selke Trophy, best defensive forward and is ludicrous to have off the lineup like you do. Arvidsson has had no form last couple of years. He was left unprotected for Seattle for that reason. Larsson was also left unprotected to Seattle and has obviously had a downward curve also. OEL is not unlikely, but has been a liability in NHL, a general sentiment among commentators. I suggest you look into this before stating ludicrous opinions. Your suggested team is uninformed. Höglander - speculating - but you’ll see this season. ;)
