<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FuelYourJets</b></div><div>Tanev would totally be worth it. I figured it would be another pick or prospect, but I believe Picks would be more valuable to Seattle. So there could be a strong possibility Seattle might listen to ideas on this matter, if there are good valuable picks for them to move forward with. This also realistically fits, so there is a possibility. So the negotiating begins.

I was thinking of putting a 2023 4th instead of the 5th. So there would be a 1st, 2nd and 2023 4th and Toninato for Tanev at $1,750,000, and Appleton. Or Adding another 5th or 4th pick. So that one would be a 1st, 2nd and 5th and 4th/5th for Tanev at $1,750,000 and Appleton. These are obviously just suggestions for a middle ground and both teams would negotiate, but negotiating to getting Tanev at $1,750,000 for a few years would totally be worth it. GOOD PICKS for Seattle would be worth it.
Jets have their team set for the next few years with most of the Cap about to be signed and locked up, good top prospects ready, they could give up a few good future picks to negotiate with Seattle for a beneficial Trade for both teams.

People tryna downplay Tanev's game don't understand how underrated his 2 way game is, with the limited time he gets. He has a Career 88.3% PK, only 2 teams in the NHL are over that this year(Penguins and Hurricanes), and the other teams are 85.7% PK and under. On a struggling Jets Penalty teams at 70.6%, Tanev would help make the Jets a better team in all aspects of the game. Tanev also has a Career 93.1% oiSv% 5on5. In 325 Games he has 1082 hits with a Career Average 13.29 Ice time. Tanev gets SH Goals and Points too.

Tanev developed a lot with the Jets players, he understands the Jets player and their systems, he has a very good consistent game and would help make the Jets better. Appleton understands the Jets players and their systems too, was a huge part of the team last year too, also with a weaker Defense. Getting both Tanev and Appleton back would bring some strong familiarity and chemistry. It would boost the teams morale and overall help make the Jets a stronger team.

THIS is a very good idea that could realistically happen. Also for Dubois, if he can improve on his 42.7 FO%. Then yeah for sure, he could get more Faceoffs and more ice time during in game scenarios. I love Dubois, I've made many Trades on here with Laine and Roslovic for Dubois. I knew Dubois would be very good for the Jets. Like that was a good realistic possiblity, so is this trade. This would be a trade well worth negotiating.

As for the other comment regarding Sens and Jets Trade, yes there is a strong mutual friendship building that could be agreed upon, with Future Considerations included... Not much risk to pay for with going forward. Without Trading Beaulieu there is no room for 22 players, even with maximizing the retained amounts and getting Tanev at $1,750,000 and Appleton at $729,000. This is a powerful trade that is worth negotiating to make things happen.</div></div>

Don’t disagree with a lot of what you said. Was never downplaying tanev in fact thought it would take more than this to acquire him with retention.

Think there’s definitely a trade to be made for tanev.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FuelYourJets</b></div><div>I have no arguments against Copp... I've always believed in Copp, and believed he could get points before the 2020-2021 season. I'd be fine with Copp in top 6.

It's just Copp-Lowry-Appleton were able to play against the best and still do amazing, with a weak D last year. It's just they mix well together. Appleton has a more offensive grind that suits Copp's game, that does good with Lowry's good 2 way positioning. Along with Copp and Lowry with their strong chemistry all this time together, they were able to play against the best and still put up points. Copp got majority of his points playing outside of the Top 6 and created an Elite Top 9 that could shut down teams and out score teams with a weak D last year.

Even if we get Appleton back and he plays the 4th line RW, I think it would definitely be worth it to bring Appleton back. Make him challenge other's for the opportunities. He has a lot of Chemistry with our team game and understands our Players already having played with them for years. If Appleton is rejuvenated into an even better player than we expect, then it would only make it more rewarding.</div></div>

I see what you’re saying for sure, but it’s undeniable that Copp becomes an offensive black hole when he plays with Lowry. Before moving into the top 6, the most points he ever had was 28 in 82 and that was with Lowry. The jets need secondary scoring, putting Copp with Lowry immediately takes that away. He’s on pace for 63 points this year. Crushing any of his previous career bests. I just think it would be counterproductive to move him back.

I think if Appleton could be had for a 5th or even just dumping beau for him I’d do it. Because it’s worth the chance. If he doesn’t work or mesh again, they didn’t give up much.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FuelYourJets</b></div><div>Appleton is near minimum wage, and has been underutilized in a system he doesn't get enough opportunities or ice time to get used to the teams transition game. The team is still full of a lot of new players that haven't played more than a year together, and it's not on one player struggling. It could be a draining atmosphere, and the team isn't doing good... Appleton has proven he is good with the Jets players and understands the players and the System.

Sometimes you gotta be willing to pay extra to get the pieces that you're missing to finish your puzzle, either ways it wouldn't be finished. After all the pieces are together, you can see the big picture and you wouldn't have to spend anymore. Then it will be other's paying us premiums to get the Pieces they need, by then we will have other pieces that can have a different look to the Puzzle.</div></div>

I think the one key thing you’re forgetting is how much of an offensive black hole Copp becomes with Lowry. The jets need him to produce, he’s become a mainstay in the top 6. Putting him back with Lowry would be a catastrophic mistake.

I think Appleton would be a good piece. But realistically he’s not going to be that much of an upgrade over what the jets currently have. He was apart of an awful PK group last year, wouldn’t make a difference on the PK, almost the same argument you make about Toninato. I’d rather see vesalainen stay with Lowry and Stastny.

I understand your idea, but it creates more problems than it solves. Copp needs to be in the top 6.

Gustafsson needs to play with the jets. He’s ready and it’s insane that he hasn’t been called up. Like you said a main piece in an extremely good Moose PK, an area jets need desperate help in. Also gives Perfetti the opportunity to take over that top C position in the AHL.

Also Jets would be smart to start extension talks with Dubois during the season.
