rangers probably accept. only thing is we just traded a RD prospect for a forward. i dont think gorton is looking to trade a forward for another defense prospect. unless its a top pairing LD. but the value is definitely there to trade andersson.

historically teams haven't drafted small forward really high. this top 10 is very realistic. if Sanderson goes in the top 10 someone is going to drop out of the top 8. a couple of players drop every draft. wouldn't shock me if one of the top 8 drop out of the top10.

they might, they save salary and add a center with a lot of potential. if the rumors are true that they're re-signing fast, buch is most likely getting traded.

The LD situation is essentially for 1 year because I fully expect Miller and Robertson to be ready to go. Lindgren might be a 3rd pairing guy but he played well with Fox, so you can leave that alone. Hajek is servicable, but also we might see Miller and or Robertson make an appearance in the NHL along side Trouba. Beaulieu is there to be a veteran guy with toughness, but obviously not really needed. The way its panning out Staal will probably rotate in and out of the lineup as a scratch. By the time the year is over we might see Robertson, Miller and Lindgren on the LD, which to be honest, could be worse considering the high potential.

Personally, I just want to see more grit on the team. When guys play us I want them to think, damn, and know that touching one of our top guys means someones gonna get their head taken off.</div></div>

miller might be ready this season or at least mid way through it. letting robertson play a season in ahl is probably better for his development, but i understand where you're going with this.

i don't disagree with any of what you're saying. i wouldn't keep storme just to loose him for nothing though. he has value and if we aren't competing for the cup than there is no point letting value walk out the door for free.

that is a good return. a young top 6 forward on a cheap rfa contract, a young dman on his elc and a 2nd round pick is a very good return for a player about to be a ufa. if you think thats giving him away for nothing than your expectations are unrealistic. i like brodin a lot as a player but to call him the best shut down dman in the league is funny. additionally dman that do not produce points always get less in return. they aren't getting a better offer than the one i put.

a 3rd pairing dman, a prospect that projects as a bottom 6 forward and a late 1st for a top 6 power forward that just signed a team friendly deal? not an over payment at all. additionally, kreiders new contract as a nmc the first few years so this all doesn't matter.

buch is worth a lot more than carolina's 1st.

the team is still rebuilding, that 3rd line is better than last seasons 3rd line. kakko and chytil a year older...quinn doesn't keep lines together for the most part anyways, the lines aren't imperative at this point.

idk seems like a lot to pay. buch for dunn straight up might should be the trade, maybe add a little but not much to get the trade done. buch is on a 3,25 contract. the league has shown that cheap salaries bring back a nice return.

Marat Khusnutdinov is an interesting player that can go in the teens or late 20's. a lot of players in this draft thats hard to predict. really shows how deep this 1st round is.
