<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>Quick questions, I don't expect you to respond to:

- Do you believe Muzzin thinks his best place to win a cup in the next two years is LA, if so I could see him waiving, but that's a blow to the Leafs locker room.
- The Kings moved Muzzin to get younger and less injury-prone, why would they move Spence (a first-year pro-AHL all-star and possession metrics darling) for an oft-injured Muzzin?
- Would you offer Muzzin the same contract now, or do you believe he is worth less.
- Don't the Kings have similar cheaper options?
- Is Sandin ready to shut down top-6 players in a playoff situation?
- Also Muzzin and Doughty never made good partners, so he wouldn't be an instant match on the top pair.</div></div>

-It's a definite loss to the room losing Muzzin, but Sandin is ready and needs the opportunity. I believe Muzzin is definitely worth the money still, though the issue is his in jury history as you mentioned. He was healthy in the playoffs and looked great, and tbh, I would give him that contract again. He's been very good for us and I'd love to keep him, but the way our cap is allocated kinda forces him out imo.
-I believe they be open to moving Spence just due to the amount of guys they have on the right. I'm no prospect expert, but I'm pretty sure I've heard good things about Clarke and Faber, then there is already Doughty, Durzi, Walker and Roy there. I would expect the Kings to be muh more receptive to moving one or both of Walker and Roy, but If I'm another GM, I'd obviously prefer to go after one of the younger players.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>-Buffalo has no need to spend a 1st &amp; a 3rd on Muzzin. There's plenty of veteran Ds out there that can give you 80-90% of what Muzzin gives without costing two picks *and* $5.625M of cap. I could see Buffalo thinking about it if you dropped the 1st rounder (3rd for Muzzin?) but I'll let Sabres fans weigh in on that possibility.

-That package seems okay for Fiala but can be beat if another team wants him more. Holl is zero value to Minnesota though, dump him out somewhere else - they already have Dumba, Spurgeon, and Addison ready to play RD. You can probably flip Holl out elsewhere for a 4th.

-I can't see Vancouver doing this kind of move without them already having moved JT Miller out for a ton of picks/prospects. As it stands now, there's not a ton of room in their top 9 when you look at who's already signed/who's still only an RFA this summer.

-Mrazek isn't the type of cap dump Arizona usually takes, his contract is backloaded and actually costs more in salary than his cap hit. I'd look at another, non-cap floor team like Chicago for this deal (but they might bleed you for more in terms of compensation).

-Reimer is probably able to be acquired this summer (unless they move on from Hill or Kahkonen) but as crankshaft said they're tight against the cap this summer and you're going to have to overpay to get some of that retention.

I'd honestly be worried about this team. The 4th line is brutal, that bottom pair is iffy at best, and you're at the cap with only 20 guys - so you're gonna need a lot of guys to either play through injury or spend more time than you'd want on LTIR.</div></div>

From the replies I'm getting , seems like Buffalo isn't the best fit for Muzzin, I wasn't aware of how well Samuelsson was performing. Also didn't realize Dahlin was LD, completely though he was RD for some reason. I will say I think Muzzin is being a bit undervalued. He wasn't great this season due to injury but looked very good in the playoffs and has been good the last few seasons. I wouldn't hesitate to keep him if Sandin wasn't coming up.

Definitely agree that the fourth line is spotty, this situation was just for fun, I don't know if it would really be worth it to sacrifice depth to slot in Fiala. I would argue that it could be worth it for a playe rof his calibre. You could roll the top two lines 20 mins a night each, and give the third line 15, leaving only like 5 minutes for thr fourth. You'd be leaning really heavily on the top six and an injury to two of them could cripple the team though. I think Giordano is a more than capable bottom pairing guy, I think a model had his contract value at 5.3m? That pairing would heavily rely on Hollowell being ready though.

Honestly, I feel like the price for Reimer is pretty fair. I'd say the 2nd and 3rd are about a fair price for him, plus another 3rd for 1.125m retained for one year seems reasonable to me.

I appreciate the feedback, thanks!
