Sujet: How long can a team run a 20 man roster Has such a thing been done before

Really teams have been getting closer and closer. Teams are regularly starting the season with as little as 21 players now. It's only a matter of time until someone tries to make 20 work. The league has rules with emergency call ups to deal with teams who aren't able to field more than 19 players due to injury so it's just waiting for someone to be brave enough to make it happen.

It was allowed at the time as Colorado did not have explicit talks about buying out Orpik as a part of the trade, and the NHL didn't want to punish Washington for something that wasn't exactly known as circumvention, however the NHL warned if it happens again it will be considered cap circumvention

Like the look, only thing I would change is Dylan Strome instead of Kessel. I know they need the goal scorer but they can work on getting DeBrincat during the season.

Realistically, that package for Chychrun is beat though.

I don’t see the Jets moving Pionk, DeMelo on the other hand could possibly get traded. I don’t know what the Jets would want exactly but the offer would definitely have to blow Chevy away in order for them to move him. Those two are the only right handed defensemen the Jets have right now so they most likely aren’t going anywhere.

The Yam & JP extensions are based on Jordan Kyrou's extension in STL. On a 1 year deal the AAV could be lower but anything 3 years and up the AAV climbs as they will be eating up UFA years.

Smith has a contract and Holland isn't going to trade him, he forfiets his money if he retires so I doubt that happens also.

Same thing for Keith, I highly doubt he retires and Holland doesn't have the stones to trade him (as you'd be attaching assets in order to move him)

recently a analytics chart came out the should just how much either Drai's or McDavid's scoring picks up when they get put on a line with the bison king. Jesse is great 2 way forward and I have seen non-oilers fans on here say he is already one of the best forecheckers in the league

NMC doesn’t mean he can’t be traded, just that he has control of where/when/if he’s traded. He needed the security of it for his gf/fiancé/wife’s career. She may be in a position to move to a new city this summer, next summer, or the one after and at that time he would waive. Don’t think Canada is in his plans however. SEA seems like the most likely option to suit his lady’s needs as well as cap space and tax purposes.
