<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Britishbulldog</b></div><div>A couple of things with the Leafs/JT Miller trades.

If we are looking for 50% retention next year then I thought that this would be too much dead cap space for Vancouver to carry. Maybe a Vancouver fan can give me better perspective on that.

Next, I would say JT Miller's value on his own (without retention) would be top 6 forward, top prospect, 1st pick and maybe a decent depth defenceman (no offence to the majority of Vancouver's current defence). Miller has been basically lights out for Vancouver but his time in NY (maxing out at 22 goals) as well as his full season in TBay (13 goals in 75 games) he wasn't that great . I would hate to give up too much to only see him return to that level.

I would have proposed Kerfoot who is also playing great now that he is finally healthy for the Leafs after multiple serious injuries. Ambramov who has a high cielling, 2023 1st Pick and Holl who has struggled a bit this year but has shown for 2 years that he can play the RHD shut down role. Holl is now just starting to play like his old self. I think that would be fair for Miller and Schenn. Schenn is playing with Hughes but lacks the foot speed and hockey IQ to really let Hughes play to Hughes potential. Schenn would be the Leafs 8th dman on the depth chart in case of injuries in the playoffs.

The retention of 50% for 1 1/2 seasons would be around $4 MIL in total and I would guess would be worth a 3rd pick to a 3rd team if Vancouver can't carry the dead cap space next season.

So...Kerfoot, Ambramov, 1st Pick, Holl, 3rd Pick for JT Miller (1/2 retained), Schenn</div></div>

This is well thought out and relatively close in value in my opinion, but it doesn’t quite address the Canucks need if you ask me. I would rather see him(if he is moved) garner a pick + a blue chip RD (Schneider, Barron) + roster player. Canucks should not be looking at a return for Miller come in the form of an elite forward prospect but that’s just my opinion

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>You're way out of your depth here...

Boeser's hot right now, and has had consistency and injury issues his entire career. Only 280 games for someone whos almost 25 and meant to be an elite talent? That's already a red flag.

Millers notes as a locker room cancer didn't come from nowhere. The face these rumors exist mean something happened. We may never know what, but to say the rumor is dispelled is very much making at clear you're looking through rose tinted glasses.

kK's 7 years younger, under team control, and scoring at a 0.8 PPG rate... I fail to see how that deal is worse than a 28 year old with only 2 years remaining until he hits the free agent market and plays a less important position. The fact you're arguing this proves you're out of your depth.</div></div>

Guess that means red flags for Kucherov too not having that many games under his belt At that age…believe what you want about Miller but the Canucks are a better team with him for whatever that’s worth so I guess he’s not taking as big of a toll on the room as you’re assuming. And I won’t even entertain this conversation about KK, pumping his tires about being .8 ppg over the course of a month while poo pooing boeser for doing the exact same over his entire career. He’s not hot right now, this is simply who he is…it’s clear you know nothing about the game/business or are just so biased you can’t see clearly…
This is honestly bizarre at this point. Lol KK gtfo
