<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>I could see that as a possibility, although I think the bruins would lack some leverage in this scenario that could lower the return (needing cap space to fill other major holes).

If Ullmark returned a 1st I’d say “yeah, reasonable enough”
If Ullmark returned a 2nd I’d say “yeah, reasonable enough”</div></div>

When did we lose leverage and what “major” holes do we have?
We lost Bergeron/Krejci/ Hall/ Bertuzzi/Clifton/ Orlov/Nosek/Hathaway now that’s a lot of holes
And we are still tied for 1st in the league, that many loses would end most franchises!

Would a true 1C be nice? Yes of course
Would another 20+ minute LHD be nice? Yea for sure
Would 3 more 20-30 goal scoring forwards make me happy? Ya what fan wouldn’t be.

But…. Bruins have proved they don’t need all those shiny items to win games.

Bruins have always and will always be a TEAM
Score by committee
Defence by committee
Win by committee
The year Boston won their cup their leading scorers tied for 62 points/ the league leader had 104 and we beat his team.
Sometimes depth and finding players who gel well together leads to more success than a bunch of “all-stars”.

Sweeney isn’t gonna sell low on a goalie who just won a vezina and has still be very solid this season, he’s a smart GM if people don’t want him for fair price now he’ll make you double your price at TDL when other GM’s get really desperate because they didn’t address their goalie situation earlier.

My friend, watch at least one Ceci game and at least once bother to look at Ceci's statistics to argue that this is a cap reset. You show absolute ignorance of the basic concepts of the game if you come to such absurd statements.</div></div>

Every single ACGM I’ve seen has the oilers moving Ceci for an upgrade, clearly there is a common theme that oilers are fine parting ways with ceci. If ceci was anything worse keeping he wouldn’t be included in these trades as a cap casualty.

Lindholm returns a 1st+ Tanev returns a 1st

You have offered a 20 yr old prospect that’s under .5ppg in the AHL and will be quite a bit down Calgary’s depth chart for young wingers. Akey is a decent young dman but at best projects to be a #4 dman but for a puck moving offensively minded dman you’d want to see a higher point production in the OHL which is high scoring Junior

Ever since pitsburgh he’s always been overplayed and that’s shown with his team’s success playing him 20 minutes a night<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ural740811</b></div><div>What are you talking about?

2 1sts
Broberg or Holloway
Ceci for cap reasons
Akey or Bourgeault
Is the minimum for Lindholm and Tanev
With Calgary retaining 4.675 mill.

-You are ignoring factors like Calgary can probably get better returns selling each player separate.
- Edmonton is a div rival and Calgarys biggest rival they will pry out the max value they can

As for Ceci
Never has had a WAR above 40%
EV defence hovers around the 60th percentile
EV offence around 20th percentile
PK percentile has him well below average since joining Edmonton
He’s a turnover machine.
His GF/GA differential has barely been even or negative for most his career
His Corsi is below 46%

It has always been stated that teams have always overplayed him and he’s not a 20 minute a night defenceman.

Yes he may block shots and yes he may hit but those stats have to been taken with a grain of salt at time. Rasmus Ristolainen Blocked lots of shots and hit a ton, usually was top of the league in both those categories but he was a defensive liability.

Cody Ceci has his Highs but his Lows are much more detrimental, he’s inconsistent and that’s the bottom line
